Points To Conclude: -If you just want to obtain the degree and take a job you must go for it -If you pursuing a professional course or wish to pursue the same during your graduation then go for it. -If you are financially unsound than this can be the best way to do graduation. -If your percentage is not good to get to you in some good college than it can be the better option.
Entrance Preview
I opted for this college because I was pursuing Chartered Accountancy course which makes me eligible to pursue Graduation simultaneously as I do not have to go to the college regularly. The best part was that exams are conducted annually which is quite feasible and also the course I opted was much similar to what I was studying in CA.
Course Curriculum Overview
For me, the course curriculum was balanced of theory and practical subjects in which 70-80% is beneficial if you wish to pursue the professional course and take a job. Since I was already pursuing the professional course so it was quite easy for me to grab the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
No. Since it is a correspondence college but I am not aware of the other courses provided by the university.
Placement Experience
No campus placements are there but after completing graduation you can easily grab a job. keep in mind that in this college only exams are conducted so you have to keep updating your throughout to build skills and personality to get a good job otherwise you may end up doing a mediocre job.
College Events
Not celebrated any event since it is not a regular college but i really miss is going to regular college instead of going to this college but bygones are bygones. I will request the students to not go to this college if you want the exposure all round and not only academic
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite reasonable first year: 4000 second year: 5000 third year: 5500 You may check for any fees update as the above mentioned is the fees I have paid when I was in college. You may download the prospectus and in there you will find every information.
Fees and Financial Aid
Not aware of such thing, you need to check the website or call them for such information. loan for weeker sections is provided if criteria, as mentioned by them, are fulfilled.
Campus Life
since it is a correspondence college: No such activities are there. If they provide any such activities then you have check their website or call them or visit the college. I am really unaware of such pieces of information and request you to check yourself
Hostel Facilities
No such facilities availed so no such reviews. I don't much about these facilities you can check with the college by visiting or calling them. In the regular colleges of Delhi University, such facilities are provided. There is no other option than to visit the college or calling them to know about such information
Alumni/Alumna
Umm, There was no such person who guided me but I get to know details from some students who at the time was about to pursue this course
Exam Structure
Exams in this college are conducted annually In comparison to other colleges where usually exams are conducted semester wise. I think it much better because no semester is there but on the other hand, you have to study the full course to give your annual exam.
Admission
I visited their website for enrollment. Enrollment dates start from August onwards that is after the results of 12th examinations. so I visited their site(www.sol.du.ac.in) and register myself. while registering scanned documents are required as follows: -12th mark sheet -10th mark sheet -date of birth certificate -Migration certificate -photo(passport size) -scanned signature and after that, I paid the fees and then done.
Faculty
It is a correspondence course, therefore I never had a chance to come across any faculty but some classes are conducted twice or thrice in Month. Had never attended any classes since I do not need them but for the students who are not pursuing any course apart from this graduation must attend those classes.
