A college worth it

The course structure is really very good, its up to mark. Each and every topic is covered in detail. The course syllabus is provided to the student before the start of each sem, which is released on the college website every semester. Teachers cover even the smallest of points and the course has covered a minimum of 1 month before the examination starts.

Yes, a number if opportunities are provided to students where they can enroll themselves in various internships. Various kinds of profiles are offered to students so that they can choose whichever they are interested in. An internship fair is organized every year where companies come and provide students with internships. Linked in, MTV get a job, was also organized in the campus provides students with a number of internships.

There is a placement cell in the college, which is responsible for bringing different companies to college. The placement cell is really really active. The placement season starts from January of every year and it goes on till the end of May. Companies like Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Wipro, KPMG, EY, Mobikwik, Zomato, Infosys and many more companies visit the college to hire students. I myself got three on-campus jobs,

Talking about the events, there are a lot of events celebrated in our college. AAGHAZ, the cultural fest of PGDAV College is held at a big scale where celebrities like Milind Gaba, Raftaar, Gajendra Verma etc perform at the college. Many other fests like technical fest, commerce fest and the fest of every department are held at the college campus. Many other events like blood donation camp, freshers talent hunt etc are also held.

If you think that your graduation will cost you a minimum of around a lakh per year, then you are definitely wrong. Here at PGDAV College, you can complete your whole graduation, that is three years, in less than 50 thousand rupees. So you get to have a lot of money to spend at yourself. So quality education at such low fees.

No such scholarships are provided to students, but the two toppers of each course are awarded each year with a trophy, certificate and some amount of money. Even I guess you don't require any scholarships for college with such low fees.

There are a lot of societies in the college, which are all managed by the students. Campus life is really entertained by such societies. Sports is the one big point of the college as the college is mostly known for sports like cricket, volleyball, chess etc. You must know of Parwinder Awana, the cricketer is an alumnus of our college.

There is no hostel facility available. But for students coming from different states, there are a lot of PG's and rooms available very near to college campus. There is a market nearby, so you do not need to go far in search of a market. You can get a good PG at about 7000 per month, with quality food, wifi, bed, excellent living environment.

The examination season really seems to be like very chilled out. DU is very lenient in checking exam papers, so there is no pressure at all on students in the examination season. Examinations are held twice every academic year, one in December and the other in May. That is, semester system is followed by the school.

Getting admission in this college is not a difficult process. I just filled the form releasee by DU and when the cut-offs were released, I got admission in PGDAV college in the second cutoff. Then I was supposed to go to the college and fill the admission form, get my documents verified by college and paid the fees. So it was quite simple.

The college has a well qualified and a very supportive faculty. They are regular in class, it is very rare that you see a faculty member taking off. All teachers are very helpful and a student never goes disappointed when he/she approaches a teacher. Even the sports faculty is very qualified in their respective discipline. Standards are really high of the faculty, at PGDAV College.
