Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is good. There are a total of 6 semesters. The exam level is moderate and its quite easy to score good marks. It's wonderful especially for the students pursuing CA or CMA alongside. Subjects are almost similar but the only difference is you get to study those subjects way deeper in CA or CMA than Bcom. Further, the students also get to learn about accounting softwares like tally that prepares them well for their future.

Internships Opportunities

4

The placement cell helps to provide ample of internship opportunities to the students. Teh students are required to make cv which the placement cell forwards to various recruiters. They also take initiatives like alumini connect, cv clubs etc.

Placement Experience

4

For placements there is not particular eligibility criteria, that you need to fulfil. Many companies visit srcc and are categorised into different tiers depending upon the packages offered by them. Sometimes teh company offering job decides a particular eligibility criteria like scoring certain minimum cgpa in your course or scoring certain minimum marks in one or two particular subjects.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course for bcom hons is around ?29000 per annum which is bit higher than other top DU colleges like hansraj and hindu but its absolutely worth it. Like the exposure, experience, facilities, crowd etc is far better than any other DU college. Talking about scholarships, I don't know much about them but yeah SRCC offers quite good number if scholarships, but you need to get sure that your attendance meets the criteria for attaining scholarships which is i guess 75%.

Campus Life

4

One of the best fests at SRCC is that of crossroads which is conducted around march every year. It's an annual fest of srcc and probably the best and largest in du. Further they are a number of societies that help you build your personality. Talking about infrastructure, its the best in du and at par with many private universities. All classrooms are air conditioned, they have projectors for smart classes. There are separate small rooms for tutorial classes, 2-3 canteens, 4-5 computer labs, huge library, huge sports complex where you will find almost every sport. Then there's a separate gym for boys and girls.

Admission

The only way to get into srcc is by taking entrance exam CUET. After your CUET results are out, you will be asked to give college preference on DU website and on the basis of your CUET score you will be alloted college as per your preferences. For SRCC (general category), you must try to score atleast 780 or above out of 800 (Note: This is only an approximate figure and the cut off may be higher or lower than this). Further there's no, interview, PI, GDetc. Further there are various other quotas through which you can get admission but still you need to give CUET

Faculty

4

The faculty is nice, experienced, well qualified and try to solve students' queries. In the first 2 semesters the students were fed up because the professor was alloted after 2 weeks in 1-2 of the subjects. Otherwise i would say that the college has enough number of proffesors to manage 13-14 sections of bcom hons and 4-5 sections of eco hons with around 50-60 students in each section.

Other Applied Colleges

Hansraj College - [HRC] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

Because i already got admission in SRCC which was my first preference.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
