Like any other govt college (excluding IIt’s) ,the thing that I would like to focus is on the maintenanc e of the labroatry softwares and equipments. The library is decent and so is the administrative department but there is a huge scope for improvement in these particular field from both the government and the college administration .

I opted for this college as it has all the major facilities like a well-maintained library, great faculty for statistics and it’s proximity to my dwelling place. Moreover I did my graduation too from this please ,hence due to the familiarity factor I was tempted to choose Ramjas College

The course curriculum is pretty fine with main focus in building concepts. There are many programming languages that we study in this course which helps us to get ready for the applicability part of the theory we read . Moreover, the real emphasis is in developing the skills for analytical framework of mind .

Yes ,the course has a central placement cell which provides the Internship for our course . There are many companies that come to the campus for summer internships and the stipends Depend upon profile to profile . The range of stipend varies from 0 to Rs 30000 per month and the median could be near about 5000 per month as many students opt for research internships .

The placements and job opportunities for my particular sector is on a high .The reason for the that is business analytics is the demand of the decade and we are professionals in that . In today’s generation analytical blend of mind is very much required in every industry so the profile in which we can work has a wide diversity which makes the company very much keen to hire us.

The college has a lot of heritage about it . Each society has its fest starting form the month of February to the last few days of April . Recently our college had celebrations for completing 100 years and Sonu Nigam was the chord guest who performed nearly for 2 hours and sang the selected hit numbers , Thereafter we have the College fest every year where eminent guests come and perform . Ramjas has 18 courses and so the variety of cultural activities is at the maximum you can experience in a college .

The fee structure for the undergraduate course of my college was around Rs 13000 per year and that of the masters program is Rs 12000 per year , According to the ROI factor I don’t think you can get a better education at this cost . So, in my opinion the fee structure is very much feasible .

Yes,we do have need based scholarships or students from low income background . Few students in my class had it though you need to Submit profile.proper proof for that . The matter of fact is many of the students had inspire scholarships as the cut of for statistics is on the higher 90’s and many science students opt for it .

The gender ratio for my course is very good . In my graduation days , we had 27 boys and 32 girls in our class whereas in the masters we have 45 boys and 35 girls respectively . The ratio for commerce and arts course is pretty good but the same can’t be said for science courses sadly . The University of Delhi has 5% seats reserved for sports quota students and hence the campus had good facilities for different sports . It has a well equipped gym for both boys and girls. The debating society of Ramjas is very good and apart form it we have a lot many societies such as the Model United Nations ,Enactus Ramjas, Pinancle (Placement cell of Ramjas),Focus (The photography cell for Ramjas ) etc .

The hostel facilities is quite decent acknowledging the fact it’s a govt hostel which charges only Rs 40000 per year and same thing can be said about the food . Our canteen has a mixed variety of food and we do have private players like Amul parlour and the grills for people who want to spend some extra bucks for their taste .

Ramjas has a rich alumini network particularly in the arts department .Papon ,Manoj Vajpayee,Prakash Jha ,Vikas Behl -to name a few . The senior students are super helpful and co-operative and life becomess easier under their guidance .

The exam structure is composed of one set of internals carrying 30 marks followed by the end semester comprising of 70 marks .These are for the theory papers . As statistics student we have another set of practical papers which is further bifurcated into class records ,viva and the theory pa part for them . We have a choice based credit system sow at the end of each Sem we are awarded a grade which is cumulated at the end of the course .

I got admission through direct mode which comprises the graduation percentage scored by the candidate who is currently pursuing an undergraduate course form University of Delhi itself . I had secured 80.36% in my graduation BSc(H)- Statistics and in the second Merit list my name was mentioned for the Msc Statistics course as I was among the top scores .

The faculty of the college is pretty decent . The head of department has a teaching experience of more than 20 years with a phd along with a number of reasearch papers and Same is the case with other professors . Nonetheless ,the faculty is ready to help you at each and every step I.e extra doubt class is result available on the demand of students and the teachers are very much approachable .
