This is he best university/college for engineering after NIT rourkela, in odisha.If one needs to pick between different government colleges than this is the best choice.

The marks i have secured in jee main ,in that i can opt any engineering college in my state but i prefer this college because it has a great record in placement and also electrical engineering in this university is a reputed branch so i have opt this one. This university have great lab facility ,qualified faculties and a great environment for academics and research.

we have to study thermoThe course curriculum/syllabus is just a little bit different from other colleges as it is a university hence they prepare their own syllabus. e.g: Electrical students also need to study an extra subject thermodynamics which is not in the syllabus of other colleges. otherwise, the syllabus is almost the same to other engineering colleges. our syllabus nearly matches with IIT KGP syllabus.

Usually private companies does not offer any internship until and unless the students have some connections of their own then only by recommendation of senior faculties they can get internship at companies like reliance power, L&T etc.. However i am not sure weather they get any stipend for it or not. But stuents can get internship from government PSUs like OHPC,NTPC etc.. easily(No stipend).

This university has a great record of placements from previous years.Every year a lot of students gets placed in different software companes like Infosys,Accenture,Tech-Mahindra,capgemini,TCS, etc..with a package of nearly 3.5 lakhs(per annum). Also core companies like Tata-steel(8.64 Lakhs) , Jindal(8 lakhs),Hindalco(5.6 lakhs), Maruti-suzuki(6.8 lakhs), L&T(6 Lakhs) also hire from this university.

A number of events celebrated at this university such as sports fest(Illumina),spring fest(vassunt),technical fest(Samavesh),Dramatic fest and branch fests of every branch such as Srujan(CSE & IT) , Resonance(Electrical) etc.. Every fests are very entertaining and a number of events such as photography contest, face painting, quick ideation , paper presentation etc.. and also a lot of fun activities were included in these.

The fee structure for this university is very less as compare to other IITs,NITS, or private colleges. students have to a pay a university fee of nearly 16000-20000 in odd semesters and less than that in the even semesters.Hostel fee per semester is 14000/-.University also have some self financing courses whose fee is a little higher than regular students fees.

No our university does not allow any kind of scholarship or provide any loan facility as far my knowledge. But a student can easily get government scholarship like medhabriti, prerana etc..

In this university, you will fount equal gender ratio in every branch also our university provides a special reservation for women students during admission to facilitate women education. The labs in this university are good. they have most of the instruments required for the lab experiments.A number of clubs are their in this university such robotics club, idea and innovation club, photography club, souls club(music),vibranz(dance club), emotica(dramatic club) etc.. and all the clubs are really good.

The new hostels and mess are good compare to old ones.Hostels have 24 hour internet facility,water supply and other basic needs. They have their own playgrounds and study library. The food quality is not that much nice. you will get good food only during grand feast and other fests.

This university have a active alumni network and all the alumni members are placed at higher position in their respective fields. They always take part in most of the events of the university. And they are very helpful.

The exam structure in this university is similar to any other engineering colleges. We have two semester per year and one mid-term per semester along with this 4 Labs each semester for which we have to give LAB exams and VIVA voice at the end of each semester. The semester is of 70 marks for each subject(5 subject per sem) and mid-term is of 20 marks (each paper) and 10 marks have been awarded for assignment and attendence.

I have written in jee main 2016 and secured 94 marks. For admission into this university in a good branch, you need to score at least a score greater 90. The admission process starts after the admission into NITs and IITs is done. The whole admission process is conducted by OJEE. The admission process has 4 steps:- 1)Online application form fillup & choice locking 2)Document verification at different nodal centers. 3)Then list of selected students for different colleges and branch is published. 4)Finally you have pay the fees and take admission into the college.

The faculties of this university are highly qualified and research oriented(at least for electrical branch). They almost clears all the doubts of students regarding their subject and the student can reach them any time for clearing their doubt. Along with the syllabus some faculties tries to make students solve problems for different entrance exams such as GATE.
