Thakur is a very good college overall I personally root for the faculties. The management is good but there's always scope for improvement even if you are perfect, a little can be improved when it comes to big classrooms and computer rooms.

Because it's one of the best colleges in Mumbai and accredited A by NAAC. My sister was is this college because of the faculties they had and courses and extra curriculum activities they provided and do did I. A big plus was that they had good companies coming in for campus recruitment and with good posts and package to offer.

The number of course to choose from gives you a kick start in heading towards the direction of what you want to be come in near future. I choose BMS as management is what I wanted to be in and the course did disappoint me. The knowledge of how to conduct research, how marketing works, how an HR deals, the art presenting your interest in front of people i.e giving presentation really boost your self confidence.

Yes, they do provide Internship to students with in house placement companies so they get their best placement for job via that internship certificate received and also have more practical knowledge about their course. The general stipend is approx 2.5 lacs per annum and the overall experience you get is something worth all your energy and time.

The placements and job opportunities are great as they have well known companies coming for vous interview for internships as well as full time job opportunities. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Oracle, ICICI Bank, HP, L & T, etc. Comes in for interviews.

Tarangan - It is the biggest festival celebrate in Thakur College for almost 3-4 days and each day consist of a new activity like dance, drama, DJ and celebrity night. Tarkash - it's an intra-college festival, they have different themes every year based on which they decide the contingents for different courses students and they have competitions going ending with a big parade to decide which course is the winner. Trisha - It's a cultural even with lots of performances and acts and awards

The fee structure is on the expensive side, you have to pay twice in a year i.e. taking admission for every semester. They don not take annual fees it's more like semi-annual not complete term but 1 semester at a time. So overall in a year you end up paying approx 40,000 INR.

Thakur College does provide scholarship those are mostly Tata scholarship but you need to have very good marks consistently and good attendance almost like 95-100%

Campus life was awesome as for every student it is. Loved the extracurricular activities and competitions. There was drama, dance, singing, fashion show, debates, sports like football and cricket competitions. They are well organised and really fun to participate and even watch.

Hostel facility is good and the food provided is good quality. They provide good security and it's guarded 24*7. All the basic necessities would be available and the hostel is nearby college so it's a big plus. Also the canteen food is good quality and hygienic.

Yes the seniors are helpful as my sister was one of them they help in creating big projects like Black Book and other tips on exam on interview etc.

They exam structure is very straight forward, initially they had 60-40 structure wherein 60 marks external exam and 20 marks internals and rest 20 marks for presentation, overall behavior and attendance. Later in 2015 they changed it to 75-25 wherein 75 for externals and 20 for internals and 5 for attendance and overall behavior. They are pretty strict when it comes to exams and attendance.

After my SSC result I'd applied for Thakur College of Science and Commerce via online admission form submission and my name came in the 3rd list (list is prepared on the basis of percentage, Eg: 1st list had a cut off of 80%, the 2nd list 76%, 3rd list 73% ) You need to take the online admission form along and fill the offline college once your name has appeared in the list. They will then collect all the relevant documents like SSC marksheet, school LC, Demand Draft and provide the fee receipt.

The faculties was the main reason I choose Thakur College to be studying in. The way the taught was incredible and the faculties were very supportive. You can run to them if you are stuck with your accounts problem or with your assignment. No matter how bad of a student you are they'll help. They even prepare you for interviews if you are capable of it.
