Anubhav's Review of NIT Jalandhar

Curriculum is quite good and very tight routine. Following the routine here builds discipline for a student which is very important. Labs and other works helps students to deal with real life problems and provides Lab experience too. If professor were to keep getting record from each and every student and consider it, it'll be more impressive and helpful for the student. 2 major exams and held in a semester and from the toughness level it is not that hard if student has studies good in the semester. Enough time for the preparation is provided to the student. Difficulty level is okayish with the student's level of preparation.

Companies of all kind provide internships here from Reliance to Google and even for non-tech students companies hire here too. Vardhaman, Trident are some examples too. Both paid and unpaid internship is provided here. Upto 1.25L per month packages for a internship is provided here and it ranges quite much.

Students are eligible after 4th semester for the placement and internship opportunities in this college and companies like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon etc. visit this campus for hiring. Offers made are quite good and most of the students get hired here easily if they've worked hard. Highest package was around 1.3Cr and overall avg package is somewhat 12-16 LPA here including all branches. My plans include getting a good placement and later on work on some research in the future in some foreign country too.

Tuition fee isn't as increasing as in other private colleges. There is a fix price and which is same for all years of students. The completion cost of a degree varies with students with Quotas, for some it's almost 6-8 Lakhs but on the other hand it's almost 2-3 Lakhs for some students whereas less than a Lakh for some students too. Although college provides scholarships and other financial aid for the students to cover up the fees for the studies. Campus employment is also quite good as students are also rewarded in some fields like NSS and NCC with either money or some other aid that helps them a lot in the college.

Annual fest like Utkansh which is biggest Cultural fest of North India takes place here and Techniti is the technical fest that is organised by the TEAM TECHNITI is organised here. All kinds of books are available in the Central Library of this college irrespective of any branch. Classes are also fully air conditioned and comfortable seating system is here for the students. Both Intra NIT and Inter NIT competitions take place for the students to take part and show their talent in respective sports. There are various clubs like ZEAL, GDSC, R-TIST, CRIMINALZ, OCTAVES etc. for the students in each and every field like Dancing, Singing, Coding, Cultural things amd PRAYAAS Club helps them to teach poor children to.donate towards public welfare.

Rooms are provided with bed, almirah, chair, fan and all sorts of facilities a student can have. Meal is quite good here and Menu has various categories of foods that provide all kind of nutrition to the students and it tastes good too. Registration process for the Mess and Hostel is easy, you just have to pay 25000/- per semester which is same for all students irrespective of Category. If you wanna rent a room you can rent it either in the city or a village near the college at a walking distance called Bidhipur. You can rent a pg there too.

Eligibility is you only have to cross the cutoff in JEE Mains exam for the college and the complete admission system in online after you complete JOSAA and CSAB counseling whicy are responsible for the allocation of seats in this college. Reservation benefits are here in terms of branch and fees like students of different categories have different cutoff for a seat and fee is quite too low for categories like SC/ST and other backward classes. Frequency of exams is decent and rest all is good. Students can see their reports online on the college ERP System and parents' can have a report of their ward time to time too. Areas of improvement in admission level is just in the time taken in offline paperwork field rest all is good.

Faculties are quite good and have qualifications from IITs and NITs and some of the prestigious college outside India. Mentorship being provided by the professors is quite good and is helpful in a long run. It js quite easy to approach them and they are helpful nature with the students. Even counsellors are there with each and every course to interact with students for any sortoff help.
