LD college of Engineering, A dream college Mechanical Engineering Students.

The factor that leads me to choose the mechanical branch is that first of all, it is the evergreen branch. This is the core branch of the engineering field. Unlike other branches, the competition in this current emerging IT/Computer field is less in comparison, so the scope for employment is greatest.

Some companies that comes for campus placement also provides internship for the given period in their own company. Some companies gives stipend also. In case if you don't get any intership opportunity, the college professors also help students to get them an internship through their network.

From Semester 7 students are eligible for campus placement. There are so many companies that visit college every year for campus placement. Every year nearly 1000 of students that gets placed in companies. In the mechanical branch, the highest package offered to a student was 13 LPA, last year in GNFC. In Master degree mechanical engineering, the highest package was 19LPA this year. The average package of mechanical department is nearly 6.5-7 LPA. Nearly 85-90% students gets placed every year.

This course of 4 years cost only 6000/- rs. The fees per year is just 1500/- rs, which is very much affordable in comparison of other private colleges. The hostel fees are just 1200/- rs per year. Other educational and exam fees including books and charges are all around 4000-5000 per year , which could be easily covered by scholarship provided by college. There are so many scholarship programs to help students financially. ie. MYSY, Digital Gujrat,. Etc You can have more information about it on the internet. College also offer intership, and sometimes companies also give stipend.

There are various types of technical and non-technical festivals held in our college every year. ie. LGT, Sahitya Sarita, and so many. There a library consisting of thousands of books on various fields is available in college. The annex building is currently the most facilitated. Also, there are no. of airconditioned smart class room and Smart halls in each department. The sports is the heart of our college. The college has the biggest cricket ground and also has a volleyball court, badminton court, basketball court, football ground, table tennis, and so many other sports facilities. Every year tournaments are held for sports. The biggest sports tournament is "impulse". There are various groups and social clubs already. ie. Vox Popi, Prakalpa, RoboCon, PMI, etc. You also can visit their profiles and work from Instagram by the same name. They organize events in which you can participate. You also can join clubs for personal development and socializing.

The eligibility, of course, depends upon the GUJCET ranking of students. It is easy to get admission to LD based on your ACPC merit. There are no such examinations, GD, or admission interviews. So an easy process overall. The application form is available on the ACPC official website. There are a total of 8 sem. Each semester has 1 mid Term exam of 30 marks (held by the college) And 1 main external theory exam of 70 marks (by GTU). From sem 5, you will also have to appear in external viva.

There are probably more than 25 professors and others in each department. All of them are highly qualified and experienced in their fields. Their teaching methods are so impressive and interactive, and they give every student an equal amount of mentorship.
