NIT Rourkela Review

Good remarks are lot. And late entry, so strict academics.

I've opted this college because NIT Rourkela is one of the top 5 colleges. And also previously I heard that the campus is so good. And also one of the old NITs which is the second largest campus in area after IIT kharagpur,India. And our college is now standing in the top 2 among NITs.

The curriculum at NIT Rourkela is good but sometimes we feel like still we are school students. But this curriculum is changed from my juniors batch. And you have look of your attendance inorder not to have any gradebacks or debars. And our curriculum is better than many other NITs I think

Yeah if you are really good at academics and some co curricular activities then you can easily bag a placement for sure. And my campus always provides placements but still you need to have some knowledge for doing a certain job right? And mostly 70-80% people gets placed

Generally we'll be having three fests in our college. Two in autumn semester and one in spring semester. In autumn semester we have tech fest which is called as innovision in which many outside college students will participate And the other one is cosmo fest which is cultural. Similarly nitrutsav is also a cultural fest.

Good scholarship means I'm getting from my the government for my performance in +2. And loan facility is provided by the bank in our college. And our college will introduce the students too many scholarship to which everyone is not eligible for sure.

The hostel facilities we get in our colleges will be so good and you can't find such facilities anywhere else. (Except air conditioners in hostels). And the mess food is good and comparatively the best . And mess menu will be changed frequently according to students.

Aluminis do rarely visit the campus. But mostly we will get any kind of help from our seniors .And we have to interact with our seniors which is more helpful to us in hard times.

We are having one midsemester and one endsemester. Mid Semester is of 30marks and End sem is of 50 marks. Teacher assessment 20 marks which actually depends on the faculty,and how the student perform in class, assignments, attendance,etc. And the grades are given accordingly.

I've qualified JEE Mains and then I was given a rank. Then I had proceeded through JOSAaA furtherly. First of all I had went through online rounds of counselings for college selection. Then there were 6 rounds in which our options be sliding. Then after my third round of counseling I had freezed NITRKL chemical engineering and got the seat here. Then at last I had reported my college with documents which were verified and got my admission.

Yeah faculty in our campus are mostly student friendly except some faculty (in every college there will be some strict faculty). And mostly people think that faculty of certain branch is very strict. But I never felt my faculty is that strict that will create a distance between us.
