IIT-KGP: A place full of golden Opportunities.

The curriculum followed here is the latest/upgraded after NEP 2020 which helps students to get acquainted with the industry and real-time world. Here we have 1 mid-sem, 1 end-sem, and 2-3 quizzes, every semester, and our course is for 8 semesters. Exams are not that easy for a normal person from a normal college, and also not for IITians, the exams are such level that IITians also scorch their head during exams. But with regular studies, one can get good grades at IIT.

There are many opportunities in campus. Numerous brands and companies approach us Also we have a Career Development center whuch help us get internships. One need to be eligible to get internship through CDC. like certain CGPA criteria. More than 300 companies both MNC's and domestic approach us. We have very large no. Of students selected in googles GSoC and other programs.

Right now there is no notification for tuition fee increase policy and hikes. The total cost of education is around 12 lakhs, after subsidy from govt. , if a student is not in a condition to give 12 lakhs fees. IIT kgp has numerous scholarship programs and financial assistantships. Many students (upto 25%) get a full tuition fee waiver based on meeit-cum- means, also other scholarships are available for reserved candidates. There are many opportunities on campus. Numerous brands and companies have approached us Also, we have a Career Development center that helps us get internships.

We have a student Gymkhana and student activity center where more than 50 societies/clubs are there. Anyone who is interested in anything can find a club for that. Here at IIT, the overall development of students is emphasized with academics. We have Asia's largest technical library, Central Library- IIT KGP. More than 277000 books in numerous journals, scientific magazines, etc. Available. Library service is also available online to its students. Every kind of sports activity is available here with high-grade facilities and amenities for students with coaches.

Hostels here are cled Halls of residence . We have 26 halls of residence including for females and males. The rooms available are spacious and well maintained , We have 3 sharing , 2 sharing as well as single rooms . Food seeved in the mess is of good quality and menu is very vibrant and we have different meal on diff. Days. We get hostel at nominal cost and registration process is mentioned in the website

To be eligible here, one needs to qualify JEE Advanced examination with a very good rank. Based on your rank you can select the course you want. There is a reservation for girls, OBC, SC/ST & General- EWS candidates here.

Faculty here are the best . They are countrys best prof.s . Many are scientist holding numerous research in labs . All Phd holder doctrates . You get a separate Faculty Advisor .
