Likes

First thing i like is the compound. Its fresh and even now in the middle of renovation I hope it'll be more beautiful
The teacher are friendly and it's easy for us to interact with them
Activities like sports and games and many more

Dislikes

The toilet. The door cannot even be closed
The lab. It's good but chemistry lab really need to do renovations

I like to know more and details about animals that's why I chose this course As for further academic pursuits, in Meghalaya is not really that useful. The frequency and timing of exams are good and their difficulty level is average

For 5th sem: Rs1370 + more. Scholarships, commonly as Minority and Umbrella are available, as for the amount is not specific

Campus Life

My experience of campus life is quite good, I'm quite sociable and friendly. There are any functions such as fresher's meet, graduation's, art's and culture, college week etc As for the sports its not that good compared to other colleges, they have coaches and all, here we only have a coach for badminton. I hope in the upcoming year, sports will be focus and there will be coaches

Admission

The admission process is through online and it's quite easy to use I've never taken an entrance exams yet but will be The frequency and timing of exams is as usual and the difficulties of level is average

The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:7. and doesn't effect my learning The faculty's credentials and their approach to teaching and mentorship also is good and understandable We can often interact with the teachers whenever we find difficulties with our studies

Course Curriculum Overview:

Biotechnology is very new field and specially in India and it required many investment like different lab instruments and mechanics. USTM was running the course like B. Sc. Biotechnology, M. Sc. Biotechnology Ph. D and all but they didn't have that many resources.

The curriculum of my course is pretty good and helpful with proper teaching about the subject, it is also helpful for real-life work and activities with proper hands-in skills teaching and theoretical knowledge. But there is a big setback that it is not recognised by the Indian council of agricultural research(ICAR). Recognition by the ICAR will have a big boost in the course and department

I love Mathematics.Our Department also provides small field trips like visiting orphanages,helping the poor and needy,we also get to host debates and extempore speech competitions.Taking Mathematics really helps me alot.And i also believe in future it will do me very good.I will be able to join my favorite companies,maybe join engineering, or get a phd and become a teacher as not many students are there in the Mathematics filed and not many teachers as well.

Life in St Edmunds shillong

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although this is a private college still it has recognition for the efficiency of this college. I wasn't interested in medicine and engineering. so I had to do a BSc so this college is one of the best in North East India. From the chemistry department, there are various scopes such as the food industry, oil industry, wax industry, ONGC, OIL, and various jobs. The teaching method is efficient and if there is any chance to improve then I would like to say that faculty should monitor that every student is being facilitated with proper materials.
