Likes
- The college is well maintained. There are various programs during the hole semester about various awareness program including mental health awareness.
- The college has a big playground.An indoor stadium and a gym.Where Students can practice various sports activities.There are also NCC groups and are being trained very well.
- Overall the college departments have good teaching There are many Aquaguards for drinking water.
Dislikes
- There are only 2 female and 2male washrooms which are not well maintained.
- The other Skill enhancement courses provided by the institution is poor.Not much importance is given in those courses.
- Some departments have poor teaching faculty .
Course Curriculum Overview
One semester have 6months.But in real the course of one semester is being completed in like 3 and half months and the exams are being conducted.We get 4months for one semester and it's very less time and make it difficult for us to prepare ourself for the exams properly.And in our college the skill enhancement courses and the generic subjects are not given much important compared to the major subjects.The courses teaches many things.But in some chapters students find difficult to relate the course and it's reelation to the real world.Which results in just memorizing knowledge which doesn't last long.
Internships Opportunities
Various Companies provides interenships.But I don't attend much of these programs so I don't know much about the companies and their names .I listen form others that many projects nd internships are opportunities available with our college Recently I went to Tezpur university for summer internship and I filled the form on my own.So I dont think there are much link of it with the college. But ya there I got introduced as I came from this particular college
Fees and Financial Aid
As it's a government college. The fee structure for whole year is somehow affordable.And there are many scholarships provided by government for students.Also government provide books money to buy books in each semester.
Campus Life
Annual functions like college week which held for 1week, where various drama compition, dance, modelling and singers are too invided.And Bohag Bihu is being celebrated in the campus.There are many books of each Department available in the college library for students . Sports are being held in college week.Many sports are organised and many students takes part in it.Many extra courses too are available in each department.verall many sports and extracurricular activities are offered bythe campus. Student run social media is available on instagram.Clubs like NSS are available.
Admission
The admission process is online.First we have to fillup the form for college admission in a government or college individual website.And on the basis of percentage merit list is provided.And the final admission is happen offline in college auditorium.There are many helpline numbers available for any query.The cut off marks varies every year and different fri each department.
Faculty
In my department.The faculty is good.They often asked if we have any doubt.We can find them in the department office when we want help.But the facilities vary form department to department. There are min 15 students and maximum 30 students in a department if we talk about science.And 5-6 teachers are being available in each department.
