Remarks

The college is good at its level, fees for the college is high for OBC and open teaching Faculty is satisfying, placements are not so good for mechanical, civil ,infrastructure could be better.

Entrance Preview

This is government autonomous college and it was very simple decision for me to choose this college because placements for electrical engineering department is good.i appeared for CET exam and scored 124 marks.123 was the cutoff for first round for OBC category for the electrical branch. The college is included in top engineering colleges of Maharashtra and placements at this college for CS and it departments are really good. As I am From wardha and best government college that I could get from my marks was this college.this college is good but not that best. Students from other cities like sangli nanded also come for this college.many students who scored good marks in entrence exam also come to this College.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Amravati government college is autonomous and the faculty has a right to make curriculum. there is a team of teachers which makes the curriculum for the students. If anyone of the students have any difficulty regarding course curriculum they can visit faculty which makes the curriculum,if their doubt is genuine,it can be considered for future curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

No special efforts are taken by the college to provide internships for the students. But the alumni associations make efforts to provide internships and industrial tours for the students.but no reference internships are given by our college.alumni associations like SPANDAN foundation provides internships as well as scholarships to the poor students or economically challenged students

Placement Experience

3

The placements rate for the college is really good for IT and CS branches. And satisfactory for electrical entc branches. But are low for mechanical civil instrumentation branches.the number of companies coming to the college for mechanical and civil branches are from 3-5 companies. And they select only 5-7 students for all. The starting payments is from 3 lack and maximum upto 7.5 lack for the electrical branch.College does not give us the surety to be placed for other branches but for CS and IT branches campus selection and placements are good.

College Events

4

College take active participation in events.college conducts many events .main events that College conducts are zenith cultural event and prajwalan tech fest event which is central India's biggest tech fest event.students from all over Maharashtra take parts in this event. All these two big events are takes place in second semester of the year in February and march month.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As I belong to OBC category the fees for OBC is 61,940 rs per year and about 5000rs increases each year for upcoming batches.75 thousand rupees is the fees for OPEN and 2550 and 1200 rs fees for SC and ST categories respectively. OBC candidates receives about 25000rs back as scholarship. Effective fees for OBC category is about 35 thousand. The fees is really expensive and student have to pay all the fees at once. There is no EMI facility is available to pay fees.student can take education loan to pay fees which the college assistance.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship like simens are provided by BHAU institute Pune to 2 to 3 students from each branches Loan facility are also available. SBI branch gives education loan for the college. Scholarships like simens gives all the fees of selected students. And also provides laptops to students

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is not like a city life.hostel life is secured and good for girls.gender ratio in the college is good. There are more number of girls in CS and IT branches and more number of boys in mechanical and civil branches. Personality development workshops are also taken time to time in hostels.senior students have many associations which takes many workshops on events but circular is not provided for many workshops.the UR election is conducted but only class representative can vote there

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are 3 hostels for boys and 3hostels for girls.a new boys hostel is opened this year and is fully alloted to first year students.hostel intake for first year is full from this year but localits cant get hostel.hostel fees is 150rs per year for OBC students.student intake is 18 to 23 students for branches depending on no. Of boys applying.2 seats for PWD students.new hostel is ready and is in good condition.hostel mess is not so good. It costs 1500 per month for the mess. Mess is good.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a individual alumni association and many alumni students are connected to it. this association also conduct alumni meet which gather 25 year old branch student to the college.students interactive workshops are also taken and are very helpful for junior students studying in college which gives brief knowledge about carrier of students.

Exam Structure

There are 3 exams taken in one semester as class test 1,class test 2 and end semester exam.the CT exam is of 15 marks and endsemester exam is of 60 marks.there are 10 marks for the TA (teacher assessment) and it depends on behaviour of the student towards teacher.scoring marks at the end semester is not easy. But a student can easily score good marks in CT because the syllabus for CT is not vast.

Admission

The allotment of seats for this college was on the basis of CET merit list. I got 124 marks in CET and my merit number was 8076.there was no other exam taken for the admission .at first I did registration on the dte maharashtra website and also filled form on that website. The college was then allotted to me.for the admission only original leaving certificate was taken.but before that I had to submit the anti ragging certificate in the college which was to be printed on the stamp paper which I got from the district court. Antiragging certificate was signed by me.there was no complications in the addimission process.the fees for college was submitted by cash challan in the nearby SBI branch.

Faculty

4

My first year experience of the faculty was good.all the teaching faculty completed their full syllabus and they took extra lectures also to complete the course. There were some m.tech students which was appointed to complete our syllabus.overall all the teaching staff was good and all of them was interested to complete all the syllabus. There was very few off lectures in the first year and was good learning experience for me. Many of the staff has PhD completed.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
