Course Curriculum Overview
English has always been the subject that I was passionate about and thus I chose to pursue it. I never regretted pursuing a BA in English Literature at Dispur College as the faculty of the college made all the concepts very easy for me to understand.
Placement Experience
Some kind of placement is available in our college which I am not surely aware of. It's my last year so let's see what happens after the completion of this semester. But as I have witnessed there are placements of like 20k to 40k per month in some media companies or any lit-related professions.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of the college is very basic. There are merit-based scholarships. Admission fees are required once a year and exam fees are required before every examination of each semester which is very normal. The fee structure is nominal and can be affordable for any class of people.
Campus Life
College environment is good. The college authorities also take care of the enjoyment of their students. They organise freshers for all the new commers in the beginning of the session and farewell for the last year students at the end of the session before their finals.
Admission
For admission one needs to fill out the application form which is launched by the college on its website before the beginning of every new session. Then the students will be selected according to the cut-off. The cut-off goes by 80 to 85%. It may vary for obc, sc, st, and other castes.
Faculty
Faculties are very good. They are very attentive to their students. They guide and mentor personally every student. They have a broad knowledge in their subject and thus their explainations are of next level. Faculties of English Department of Dispur College is the best faculty among the other departments which I have noticed till date.
