Likes
- The best thing in MNIT is Aurobindo hostel. I had spent 4 years of my life there and enjoyed a lot.
- Second favourite thing is VLTC i.e. Vivekanand lecture theatre hall complex.
- Third most best thing in mnit is MRC which stands for materials research complex.
Dislikes
- Canteen. Annapurna canteen is too expensive and not well managed however it is best place to spend your rest hours or do some work by sitting there.
Course Curriculum Overview
The metallurgical and materials engineering at MNIT is meticulously designed to provide students with a strong foundation in both theortical concepts and practical applications. All subject are arranged year wisely to improve all the aspects and helpful in placements too.
Internships Opportunities
Companies visit MNIT campus for internship opportunities also but if you not get any internship their then faculties will also help you to get internships. Other college students also come to MNIT for internship in various departments.
Placement Experience
There is a separate placement cell in campus various big and small companies visit to campus for placements for every branch. The placement varies from 5 LPA to 50LPA with an average of 15LPA almost all students who took part in placement procees got placed. During my year our branch's placement was 100%. All you have to do is clear your backlogs before 8th semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are three categories for fees of students according to income of their parents or all family members. First category is family income below 1 lac for those students tution fees is zero and course fee is 16500 per semester. Second category is 1 to 5 lac for those students turion fee is 21000 and course fee is 16500 so overall 37500. Third category is above 5 lac. For them overall fee is 67500 per semester. Hostel fee is same for all students and it is 31000 for 1 semester which includes food, electricity, water and room. Extra 500 charge for cooler owning students.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of the campus is best.lecture halls labs and research centres all are well equipped and provides all essential things. There are many clubs in college related to dance, music , photography, Art etc and have competitions time to time. Teo big events also organised in college per year.
Hostel Facilities
All hostels of MNIT are very good and well managed. Food quality is very good and i will say it is value for money. You will enjoy all your Four year's hostel life happily. Most important advice for all newcomers is don't try to stay outside of campus you should opt for hostels otherwise you will miss amazing memories of your life. Food quality is very good in all hostels and laundry service is available at Aurobindo hostel.
Admission
Students have to secure rank under 30,000 in jee mains examination for a secure admission in Malaviya national institute of technology. After that admission process is very smooth there will be volunteers at the entrance gate to help you and will help you in entire admissions process.
Faculty
Faculty members are too supportive. Particularly in my department all teachers are well qualified and conduct all lectures on time. They are all punctual and always solve doubts of every students. They do not do any partiality with any students and most important thing is their teaching skills. I had enjoyed every lecture during my college life.
