Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum majorly includes case studies, in the first year itself, we must have gone through 150-200 case studies of different companies mentioned in the Harvard business journal, Ivey Publishing, yale, etc. This really prepares an aspiring manager for the future. There are also practical workshops, focused on development programs, entrepreneurship, etc. There are 3 end-term exams in one year since a year has a trimester. The exams are really easy and only constitute 40% of the total assessment, the remaining 60% is assignments, presentations, and class participation.
Internships Opportunities
Some of the internship opportunities i can mention are , WIPRO tech - 1.25 Lakhs per month Marico - 1.75 lakhs per month Microsoft - 1.75 lakhs per month Pernord ricard - 2 lakhs per month Aditya birla fashion and retail - 1 lakh per month HDFC - 1.25 lakhs per month
Placement Experience
From the end of the first semester, the placements for summer internships start. There are great opportunities and this time the average summer internship stipend was 100000 for 2 months. Some of the prominent names are aditya birla, Microsoft, adobe, Wipro, etc. The highest stipend was 400000 for 2 months and the average was 100000 for 2 months. There is a placement for 100% of students.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have paid 11,03,000 for the first year which majorly includes the admission fees, hostel fees, and mess fees, the bifurcation is not provided by the college. For the second year, I paid 8,50,000, which includes the same fees mentioned above including miscellaneous fees like library, etc.
Campus Life
IMT is completely a student-run campus, it must have the best campus life across all b schools, with over 20+ club committees for students to be a part of. It is so exciting and happens with something or the other happening every day. Great events like cultural fest PASSION, TEDx talks, ZETTA, a grand celebration of festivals.
Hostel Facilities
There is double room with AC and single room with AC , great beautiful rooms with awesome views , the mess is one of the best , the student run mess committee ensures of the same with both veg and non veg options available.
Admission
Eligibility is a minimum 3 year bachelors from a recognised college, application form can be found on Imt website . My cat percentage was 93.16 , IMT only considers overall and not sectional cutoff. The process included an essay writing and an online interview
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is really lower, all the classes are really interactive and participation also enhances peer learning. All the faculties are qualified PhD both young and old, and almost all possess years of experience from the corporate industry as well which really adds to the learning.
Interview Experience
I faces only an essay writing based on CHATGPT and the emergence of generative AI , the interview focused on my resume and current affairs , i was asked about pakistans debt and economic condition at that time . I prepared by reading newspapers and also revised a little bit of my undergrad subjects
