Entrance Preview

I wrote the college entrance exam to get admission. I chose the field of literature because i had an interest in learning the aspects of the subject and have always had a passion for all forms of literature.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have a triple major in History, Economics and English literature so the classes and the course has been very informative along with many research projects given by the university. The structure of the course builds both interest as well as career aspect focusing on everything that a student requires to attain knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

No the college does not provide any internship but they support the students who take internships from else where and help them if the students require anything academic for the internship.

Placement Experience

1.5

There are no placements provided for the degree students for bachelor of arts although there are some placements for the engineering students and MBA graduates. The job opportunities are not directly provided for the arts students although letters of recommendation can be provided if required based on the quality of the student's academic performance.

College Events

4

The college has a cultural vibe to it. They celebrate many festivals such as janamashtami and ganesha chaturti.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are the state scholarships for the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe and other backward classes provided in the college. The college also provides compensations to the students who have received distinction from the colleges in their respective courses.

Exam Structure

There are internals held for all subjects of thirty to fifty marks for first two months and then the students appear for preparatory examination at the end of the third or fourth month for the purpose of revision.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college are dedicated to the betterment of the students mind, creative talents and they are concerned about the future of the students. They are friendly and provide a neutral positive environment which enable the students to openly approach them in case of any difficulty in the curriculum.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
