- The college campus is really huge and filled with greenary,it have an amazing environment
- It has 2 canteens and 1 food truck,also few vending machines in some departments
- They have ground for cricket and football, seperate basketball court and a tennis court
Dislikes
- Have to walk a lot to classes,takes almost 10 mins
- There is not much food options in the canteens
- The parking is always filled up and there's barley any place to park your vehicle
Course Curriculum Overview
The course mainly focuses on practical knowledge than book knowledge,we have 4 skill labs each semester. With the knowledge we gain through such skill labs ,makes it easy for us to get exposure into the tech world. We also have projects every year, that can boost our knowledge as well as CV. We have exams almost every 2 weeks, they are divided into 3 internals, 1 lab internal,1 aat and 1 quiz, 1 lab external, and final sem end exams.
Internships Opportunities
Yes the college does provide internship opportunities starting from 6th sem after which the student also get a FTE. The average stiped of a student during internship period is around 15-30k Many companies such as Infosys,Wipro,TCS provide such opportunities.
Placement Experience
Students from the 6th semester become eligible for campus placements. We have many companies visiting our campus such as Amazon, Wipro, Deloitte, TCS, Mercedes-Benz, Samsung, Dell, etc. The highest package bagged recently was 52LPA by a student from CSE. The average package offered is 8,00,000. My plan is to work for the first 2 years and then look up to pursuing a masters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The overall fee for CSE is 30,00,000 for 4 years and other CS branches are 28,00,000. Fees for the rest of the courses are mentioned on the college website of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. Fees for students through kcet is 1,08,196. Fees for students through comedk is 2,60,000.
Campus Life
We have a few fests in college named Furore, and Taranga. The furor fest is the main fest of our college, mainly held in July. We have a whole seperate building of about 4 floors for the library, which is amazingly huge and has a wide number of books available. The books are easily accessible and can be borrowed with ur library card. We also have many clubs in our college for dance, music, anchoring,stage-management, etc, apart from cultural clubs we also have clubs for coding, hackathons, etc.
Admission
The admission process was easy, got admission through kcet quota,it hardly took a day to clear all documentation, and that's it,the faculties are highly educated and skilled and knowledgeable. The admission center does not differentiate between caste-based reservations and gives equal importance to everyone. The difficulty level of exams would be -moderate.
Faculty
Each class consists of almost 60 students with an average in engineering. The faculties are highly educated and clearly understand the student's needs. The senior faculties have high experience of about 10-15 years and have degrees from top institutes. We can interact with our teachers easily by meeting them at their cabins during free hours
