Course Curriculum Overview

1

The course is very outdated nothing according to the current needing in the market frequency of exams isn't good, the university itself gave us only 2 months for whole semester 2 and there are rarely any holidays They can actually upgrade their course and they can hire good staff who has a knack of teaching instead of people who are there just for the sake of it

Placement Experience

2

The campus placement is okayish, people who are good get the job from campus few companies visit but the number of companies is declining every year but guess what? that's happening in every college so not too surprised by it

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure varies every year but it's 29000 only for general students 19000 for ewc 13000 for obc 3000 for sc/st and yes there's scholarship available the college provides hostel too and the hostel is okayish the college campus is okayish as well, not as good as expected

Campus Life

0.5

campus life is not good at all like you enter the college, roam around for 30 seconds and that's it your college tour is over nothing too fancy in the college but the friends here are what makes the college good can you imagine a college without a canteen???? no right but guess what? GOVERNMENT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING NAGPUR does NOT have a goddamn canteen or any place to eat. The auditorium is so small that it feels like a normal classroom with AC. nothing good in college to be really honest

Admission

Admission process was easy we only needed to submit some documents after the MHTCET state level entrance exam the staff is friendly during admission (ofcourse) but after admission it's the worst and you probably never wanna talk to them again

Faculty

0.5

We have like 70 students in our class the teaching is not to the point, they open up ppt and talk like we understand everything and then they say why don't we ask doubts like if we even understood one bit of it we would ask doubts but there's nothing that we understand because of how bad the teaching is and don't get me started on the internal marks, they have to give internal marks out of 30 and not once but this has happened twice that the teacher gave us internal marks out of 15 which impacted our results a lot

Sakec have many job/internship opportunities. The college provides different trainings and intership opportunities. Currently, in 2023-24, 42 students have alreday been placed with 25 LPA (highest CTC offered). College have tie-up with many reknowed companies. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
