Likes

Basically it's a distance learning, but they also provide classes offline on weekends.
Highly affordable if looking for distance learning.
Whenever I have given exams. The examination hall were truly great.

Dislikes

They normally conduct their clases offline( I have not attended those as I m not from Delhi). They should also bring some online system also.
Sol management system. They issue date sheet very late.
They don't focus on extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I have earlier discussed the course structure it is well-designed. U will get knowledge of accountancy, law, income tax, goods and service tax, costing, financial management, audit etc To some extent it's aligned with ca course also. Frequency of exams - Total 6 semesters, twice a year. Timing of exams - It can be a morning shift or evening shift also.

Class Size: 200Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual fees - Around 5000 Scholarship - You can apply for the reservation category Total fees - Around 15000 Normally it does not increase. It's highly affordable. If you are looking for an affordable distance learning college then it's the best.

Campus Life

Let me be very honest. This college is not a substitute of a regular college because no extracurricular activities are held. They majorly focus on academics. So if u are looking for campus life, sports activities etc

Admission

Let me tell u clearly, it's a good college for those who wants distance learning. I mean to say that for students who are pursuing other courses like CA, CS, CMA etc or doing jobs nd all. If u are not busy some where else u should go for regular college. I have chosen this college over others because it's quite affordable. I can easily apply online for admission. Admission will be merit based.

Faculty

To be honest I have never attended the classes physically but I can share my experience of online classes during COVID times. It was truly amazing. The faculties were good. They were renowned facilities from Delhi University only ... Taking exams into consideration I think the course is well structured with diversified knowledge of various subjects. As I am a CA student I can also tell that the course is structured in line with ca course to some extent. If you are a ca aspirant u should definitely go for it.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
