Likes
- I liked the fact that faculty was really caring and good
- Our principal had a keen interest on research like activities and research is preferred in our campus
- Our books are generally issued by book bank which is in the college and it's fees is included in the fees already so no need to buy books
Dislikes
- I disliked the fact that tough the college was great infrastructure wise but fees was too high as per classroom facilities
- There are fest and tech fest like zeal and other fests but the tech fest don't have so much reach and enthusiasm in the college environment
- The campus is a bit small compare to other engeneering colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our college recently turned autonomous this year and we are the first batch of the college in autonomous so course ware and design will be improved as per college said and previous they were following makut standard which was okay in terms of placement specific as it has many drawbacks like teaching little bit old techniques, etc. but now after gaining autonomy out college can design and deliver their own course making it suitable for industry specific
Placement Experience
The highest package in our college of 2023 data as 2024 full data is yet to be published is around 14 lakhs and median package was around 3.8 lakhs . The percentage of 2023 was good around 80% placements. Hope to see the same in 2024 as well and my plans after the college is either do placements if I found jobs lucrative enough or go to do GATE and M tech after that
Fees and Financial Aid
For this year 2024-2028 batch the fees of CSE,IT, ECE is same 6.1 lakhs . It suddenly increased as before this year it was like 4.5-5 lakhs. There is something called TFW reservation in which you don't pay the full fees as it waves off the tution fee part and it becomes for this year like around 2 lakhs. For management quota it is based of college but I heard it charges between 7 lakhs - 10 lakhs+ in cse like branches. Overall fees are definately high as it is a private college
Campus Life
We have fests in our college namely ZEAL Cultural Fest which happens every year and is the biggest fest in our college and horizon tech fest and many other tech related or different club related fests We have almost 20+ clubs in our college like dance , art , music , coding, recitation, etc. which devlops students co-ciriculam part . The college also arranges sports fests evry year on sports day where different sports events were held and prices are given to the winners. Although I would say the classrooms and other things are not of hi fi technical classrooms but it serves the purpose.
Admission
I got many private colleges in west bengal through wbjee and reason of choosing this college because although it has high fees but lesser compare to its other colleges in west bengal and secondly it is closer to my residence as other colleges I was getting was in Kolkata little bit far from where u stay.. which makes a problem If you say about addmission process. It went smoothly and there were no complaints on that part
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio I think is good that comes no problem.faculties are approachable to some extent. There a many good faculties and bad faculties in the college as student I don't want to name them but I will tell you you will always have a mixed. But don't worry every faculty is helpful and will help you in any way possible.
