Dislikes
- The crowd is a bit annoying but can't help it.
- The traffic around the college is also very annoying.
- The college is located in the outer rings of the city so commute to the main attractions is hard.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum seems to be well put up according to what I am to achieve from this particular course. The coaching for my professional certificate will also be commencing along with the regular Bcom programme. Miles Education is the one who takes care of all the professional course coaching so you'll get their LMS also.
Internships Opportunities
The college won't provide interships directly, you'll have to find internships on your own. The college might help you a bit here and there but don't rely on the college only. A senior told me this. Try to do as many internships as possible.
Placement Experience
So from the 5th semester onwards you'll have placement and employability training and workshops. After that companies like the Big4, and other companies visit for the campus placements. I've heard from a Senior that only 6-12 students gets placed from a course which is not the greatest if you ask me. My plans after the degree is to work for few years then later on I'll either do my PG or that's it.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm an OBC candidate but I've received any fee exemptions as of now. My fee structure for my Bcom with CMA course is: Year 1 - 130000 Year 2 - 130000 Year 3 - 135000 I paid 13,000 as additional fee because I'm from another state i believe. Paid 5000 as registration fee which is non refundable. Paid 3000 as eligibility fees.
Campus Life
There's always alot of clubs and events happening here in the college, it's been only two weeks since I've been here and there's already like 5-8 event's happening and different clubs and teams have started their recruitment process.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good. The food is decent I can say. Some services which was promised hasn't been provided yet by the hostel people which is a bit disheartening. The water is not good (apart from the drinking water)
Admission
I had applied to St. Joseph's College of commerce [SJCC]. I didn't make it past the entrance test. I had applied for the same course. KJC was my next option. KJC conducts a document verification round and then a Personal Interview round. If you're eligible after that then you'll receive the mail regarding that. Eligibility depends on from where you are, which board you're from, your Quota and many more criterias. Overall admission experience was a bit hassle.
Faculty
I'm a fresher and it's been only 2 weeks since I've been here so I don't have much idea about how the faculties are but as far as I can see all the faculties seems to be nice and good at what they do. Some are too interactive but meanwhile some are not. The curriculum for me is a bit different than a normal Bcom because I've my CMA US coaching going on in the back.
Interview Experience
Interview was there for the admission and it was quite easy, no hard questions were asked. Easy questions and then there was general knowledge questions relating to finance and economics. That was it, with proper preparation anyone can crack it, it's easy.
