Metallurgy student review?

Actually firstly I choose metallurgy as I wanted to not get too tough academic syllabus but now I can say I learned allot from the course and now this changed my mind . This metallurgy course in our college is really appreciative and for real world also I can get numerous opportunities. We have highest placement ratio than other branches. Sometimes I think Proffesers are only teaching theory instead of giving us real world practical knowledge but now with ongoing semesters we are now getting knowledgeable as we are performing labs and learning really better things . Exams timings are i think major minus point because they put exams really early as we are not even able to complete the course and also it get very difficult for student to get good CGPA from that.

Around 200 companies comes to offer internships and placements. Their offer is from 30000 to 2-3 lac per month .... based on company.... Some Companies take brachwise but nowadays most of the companies allow all branches other tha that they have some CGPA criteria . Companies offer jobs like data analysts,research related jobs and so many coding and non coding jobs.

Campus placement ...students of 5th and 6th semester are eligible for internship and 7th snd 8th semester student are eligible for campus placement. Now i am in 5th semester so right now I have not applied for any company...in few weeks I'll. I don't know much about placements but here companies offer from 30000 to 1 lac for internship. Most of the student get placed around 60%get placed in really good companies. Other than that some student applies for higher studies. I want to be a Ui UX designer and get a good job in that field ... I really like metallurgy course but design excites me more.

My yearly fees is 120000? ..we have to pay around 60000? per semester as academic fees. All other fees like lab or other is included in this amount only. I have to pay around 32000? for hostel fees which includes hostel stay ,food and all facilities. College provide scholarship for the students but they have some basic criteria's ...so most of the students doesn't get the scholarship....I also applied for the scholarship but didn't get selected other than that there is no special relaxation in any fees like hostel or anything for any student.

In our college we have two. Major fest...one is cultural that's called Blitschlag'...this is one of the greatest cultural fest in Rajasthan. Other is technical fest called SPHINX..:other than these we have allot of small fest and tournaments in I guess every month. We have a large library providing each and every book that is not even available online and nowhere to buy...MNIT campus library is largest that all NITs. MNIT have Asia's second largest lecture hall building named VLTC....which have all the facilities which needed. MNIT has 4-5 sports ground and tennis and basketball place where MST tournament and inter NIT competitions runs every year. In MNIT we have more than 32 clubs that are run by students of all year. We have winned allot of dance and nukkad natak competitions also.

We have one table and lan facilities in the room ..: Mess food is worst but that's okay they are improving. We just have to apply for hostel online and pay fees and we get allotment online every year. Outside the college we have allot of rent facilities but that's too costly so it's better to apply for hostel.

Actually I applied for other NITs also and got selected for NIT Rourkela and NIT Arunachal Pradesh but I didn't choose that college because of so many reasons. This college is in a very nice location of Jaipur and it's very safe for a girl.the academics and college architecture is also premium that other NITs so I chose NIT Jaipur over all other colleges. I got rejected also from some college like NIT DELHI and DTU like college I wanted computer science there but didn't get so I choose my second preference. Admission process is easy for my college. We just have to arrive on the particular date they ask you to come. Bring all documents and just submit fees right away and get the hostel also. College seniors also help in that process.

I think faculty of MNIT is the best as they are really supportive both in personal and professional way. Some professors are really friendly and they never mind if we need help and approach them through mail or call them immediately. The Proffeser named Krishna Kumar sir , who is now DUGC of our department I really like them because he is really supportive and never let their student down ...he is little strict but always appreciate students effort. I don't think I dislike any Proffeser as we can say there is. No personal reason for that. We have mid terms and end terms in each semester. Exam is somewhat of moderate level. We have to give lab exams also for both mid and end term exams. Most of the student pass the exam like only 8-10 student remain otherwise all get clear ...academic is little tough for us to manage but we are coping up with that too.
