A journey worth sharing

The college is great, I love learning here, it's just never boring to get up and go to college. I'm fortunate to get this college.

The college has become autonomous in the year recently, so the whole curriculum & the courses have been amended & also the fee structure is changed as they offer a B.Tech degree affiliated to Mumbai University now. The courses have become more practically oriented which is really good for creating a quality professional.

S.P.I.T. is in the top tier colleges in Maharashtra. The placements here are really very good. From Normal to Super Dream, every student is satisfied with their jobs. The college has recently announced its 6 months Internship policy for students who do not want to take regular Semester 8.

Various events are organised by various committees like there is Spark which is the official editorial of S.P.I.T. there's ECell, there's Student council who play a major role. Two fests are organised by the college one is a technical & other is a cultural fest. 2019 witnessed a combination of two fests which was OCULUS.

There are different fee structure for different category of students. But the fee structure remains the same for those who came through Institute Level like the Open general fee structure. The fee structure is changed after autonomy.

No, I did not opt for any scholarship. But there are many scholarships for students & they can avail it by getting eligible for it.

The campus life is the best here, surrounded by great sister colleges like Sardar Patel College of Engineering, S.P.Jain Institute of Management & Research which is one of the top B-Schools in India and there is Bhavans College which is High school & a science graduate college. The campus has a ground, a volleyball court.

The senior & the alumni are the best here. They have achieved a lot in their life's and are always welcoming to the juniors for any doubts and queries. Many students have been admitted to top colleges like UC Berkeley, ETH Zurich, Carnegie Mellon, etc.

I did not get this college through the DTE rounds as the cutoff was high for IT and COMPS but, I was fortunate enough to get Electronics through the institute level rounds which happen after the DTE has closed all their rounds. I got SPIT in the first merit list itself of institute level.

The teaching, as well as non-teaching faculty in S.P.I.T., is very good. All the teachers are well qualified they really give us apt knowledge about every subject. The non-teaching staff is strict but is very helpful. The exam section follows the rules very obediently & the deadlines are very strict.
