Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is holistic and based on ‘outcome-based learning’ and is oriented towards industry requirements. This makes us ready for industry and through project work gives us practical exposure into the industry workings. The hands-on experience with the practical exams makes us fit for the industry. The exam structure explores the requirement of the industries and also gives us an in-depth understanding of the requirement in the industry.

Placement Experience

4

Students of NFET are placed across the diverse industry from manufacturing to technology to IT-based services. Students qualify well in pool campus programs and college also arranges in house interviews where different participants attend. Geographically students are placed across the length and breadth of the country as well as in major metro cities also. The same trend is also observed in the case of an internship wherein students have been sent for industrial training in blue-chip companies.

College Events

4

We have several events happening throughout the year wherein we get a chance to meet industry stalwarts as well as seniors academicians from reputed engineering and technology colleges of the country. Media personalities, sports personals, and defence personals come and visit off and on in our college. This one in the form of seminars and conferences wherein faculties also present scientific papers which are review. Apart from this, there are many cultural programs that are organized by NFET wherein we get a chance to meet the members of our alumni and get a hands-on experience about industries also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of college in quite reasonable and it is inclusive of the lab works and expenses for internship as well as project works. Approximate the course fee for the first year in INR 60,000 which includes the above-mentioned facilities as well as college tuition fees and library charges. The library and the labs are quite adequate to meet the requirements of our study and hence no extra expenses are incurred by students outside these, in this regard.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarships to meritorious students on the basis of their percentage of marks secured in the last major examination. ‘Asha Jyoti’ is one such scholarship that is provided by the college in this regard. As regards the educational loan, the college has tied up with certain banks who provide those educational loans after fulfilling certain basic criteria, with minimum documentation on a very prompt basis.

Science Model competition - students are made to appear for a competition with science models developed by them. Students are then judged according to the models and are awarded. Science Model Exhibition - the various science models which are good and awarded are displayed to encourage other students to do the same. Students from other colleges are also made to attend the events. Tech Fest - Festival of technical events like Robotics, Circuit Design, Gaming, Coding, Debugging. Cultural Fest, ...Campus life comprises of gaming including football, cricket, basketball, volleyball. Every year, we have a national sports championship. Campus life also includes extracurricular activities under Tech Fest, Cultural Fest. Dance Club, Music Club, etc are very active. Robotics is one of the strongest over here. Faculty members are good and friendly. I am also a Research Associate, and working in different fields of research pertaining to the requirement of the modern day and society. Faculty members help in doing project works and Management regularly interacts with faculty members to imbibe the sense of belonging.

Alumni/Alumna

The NFET provides us the scope to meet our alumni a couple of times during the academic year. This provides us a platform to interact and build a network which on a later stage helps us in better job placements. The alumni network keeps in touch with the present batch to upgrade our potentials. The senior students are quite helpful and are willing to provide employment scope for the junior students.

Admission

At first, I gave an entrance exam of JEE-MAINS. After getting my JEE-MAINS marks, I sat for the counseling process and I was assigned with few colleges along with NSHM. I became interested in this college in particular as one of my current senior who was already pursuing Computer Science Engineering in this college. He told me about the good education environment, proper faculty guidance and placement facilities. All these things initiated me to take admission in this college. Then I came with my JEE-MAINS marks to took admission in this college. The admission process went very smoothly by very supportive staff. In the month of July, I successfully took admission in this college.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
