Likes
- Course curriculum is good for theory. Some practical subjects are also included for getting students skill-ready for the industry.
- Teachers are well qualified and are helpful. College provides all the necessary amenities required.
- Placement is okayish. Placement cell will help upto a point to get you placed in a company. But everyone has limitations. Studenta have to gove their best to grab a job offer.
Dislikes
- Campus is small. Don't expect a huge campus.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum contains all the topics required in the core field and follows the guideline of MAKAUT University. Although a bit outdated, but as the college is Autonomous, they try to remove the redundant subjects and introduce new practical subjects which will helpthe students become industry ready.
Internships Opportunities
College provides many internship and training opportunities during the course. Some professional training companies have tie ups with the college. Also you can get internship through teacher's referral.
Placement Experience
Campus placements start from the 3rd year itself. Various internship and full time offers are made available to students. Many startups and small sized companies come to college. Some MNC service based companies also come to college. Placements happen both in pool campus and on campus. Average package is about 3-4Lpa. For the core branches several core companies also come for on campus recruitments. A good percentage of students get placed from both on and off campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
First year fees was 40000 and increased by 1000 each year Caution fees is about 12000. One time admission, registration, misc. fees during admission time was approximately 30000. There are various scholarships available provided by govt. which can be applied for fee waiver. Student credit card given by govt can also be used if required.
Campus Life
Annual and technical fests happen in the month of Jan-Feb. College has a Library providing a good collection of books. College has all the necessary facilities required for effective teaching. Various sports and extra curricular activities are organised from time to time. College also has different clubs.
Admission
The college takes admission by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and JEE Mains exam. I chose this college over others as this college had autonomous tag and is NAAC 'A' accredited. This ensured that the course curriculum will be better than other colleges under MAKAUT.
Faculty
Faculties arw helpful and approachable. There are various exams conducted throughout the semester to make sure all the topics of thw subject are covered up. Faculties will try their best to explain a concept.
