Course Curriculum Overview

4

So I choose chemistry because chemistry is theoretical as well as have practicals experiment to do. So we learn in theory class ,we perform them in lab also. That fascinates me most. Curriculum prepares for real life also ,because what we see around us is happening due to some chemical reactions,so we learn about this. Exams are conducted by the university in every four months. According to me there should be more time like other universities have a semester of 6 months so like that

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are paid as weel as only certificate internships provided by college. I don't know the companies but yes Delhi University provides paid internship in summer and winter break. I have no idea about task of those projects

Placement Experience

3

In their last semester of college, they are eligible for placements. There are many companies like tata ,Wipro and many more. I have no idea about the packages I wanted to join army after my graduation

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year I paid Rs 16700 and Rs 11000 in my 2 nd year and will pay Rs 10000for the 3rd year. There is no separate registration, lab fees and all. All are included in yearly fees. But I paid Rs 1000 for a he CUET registration and after the results,I paid Rs 250 for the CSAS portal. I don't know about the scholarship provided by college but the college refunds all the fees of the economically weaker students.

Campus Life

3.5

There is a annual fest of college named priyadarshini and many fests of individual departments. Fest are organised in the month of April and May. There are many textbooks along with other books are available in the library. You can issue them with the help of library card. There are projectors in some classrooms. And laptops as well. College authorities issue the laptops to students who don't have laptops. There are teams if kabaddi, cricket, handball of our college which represent the college. And there are many track and field athletes also There are many societies and NCCs, and NSS in our college

Admission

So basically I wanted to study mathematics but I got chemistry but that's fine. I scored equal marks in chemistry and maths in my board exams. I opted for mathematics in other colleges of du but got rejected due to less marks in CUET. Admission are happening in Delhi University by CUET. So you get admission through CUET. Eligibility is different for different courses. You can check the admission brochure. So for chemistry to be studied in du, one should have studied physics, chemistry, and maths in 12th. In CUET he or she must have registered for physics chemistry and maths exams and a language. So during the admission time, scores of these 4 subjects are considered. Usually, the cutoff remains very low for this course. And overall admission process is quite transparent and fast.

Faculty

4.5

The the chemistry department of Dyal Singh College have a faculty staff of 40 teachers including lab staff. There are always there for any doubt. The teachers I like the most are Prof AK Baghi sir and Prof Kp Singh sir and one more Prof Anil Nain sir , very supportive, very kind. All teachers are sweet and kind. So there are 7 exams in total ,3 papers of core subject, one is Genric elective one is Skill enhancement course, one is Ability enhancement course and one is Value added course. The subject changes in every semester. Depending upon the course he or she is studying, one can easily pass the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
