Course Curriculum Overview

3

This course helps patients who have difficulties both in physical and mental aspects. Hence i choose this course. Teaching can be more practical and visualized. And i expect the teachers to teach different disabilities on patients. The exams are conducted after every 3 months so there is sufficient time to catch up on studies. But since the topics are hard there is worry of forgetting by studying all the chapters at once.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship is in our university Hospital. There isn't any stipend for this. There are regular visits to different hospitals. Research programs are conducted for the interns. Now our faculty have started with interviews which will help the interns in recommending them to other hospitals for job.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not paid this year's fees as we are struggling a bit.The fees is same for everyone in our batch. There is exam fees which we have to pay before our university exam which varies for every subject. There is no scholarships which this college accepts. There is no financial aid available for students. There are no other compulsory charges. The food in our campus is expensive.

Campus Life

2.5

There is a 1 week event of every faculty in which we have different programs. The books are available for free in the library. There is sports events every year.which is good. There are different social clubs in our course where there isn't much participation from the students.

Admission

I was actually was going to take a drop year after my 12th.But the college called me saying there is a seat for me i this course. Since i got this chance i accepted it. The admission process was easy there was a form which i filled and paid 1500? for it. After paying at least half od the fees they told me to attend the college lectures.

Faculty

2.5

There is not much communication of the faculty with the students. Some faculty play the nepotism cards. They judge students according to the background they come from. I have a neutral relationship with all the faculties. There are total for 3 exams which occur in a year. Exams are conducted according to time the faculty as and is conducted after every 3 months. Exams are tough and mostly lectures are cancelled a lot and teached at the last minute before exams. The course is a good course. There is a lot of hardwork and tough relationships which occur with our students.

Placement Experience:

Placements depend on the companies willing to organise an interview with the students. 75% of the students landed a job for 50000 after internship. Only one company visited us this year. On an average the package would be starting from 35000. My plans after getting my degree are to get a job and upskill myself soon after.

Placement Experience:

The students usually become eligible for campus placements after 4th year when their internship is over. Ziess, Baush and Lomb, and Lenskart are the companies that visits often in the college. They provide with workshops for students and also offer jobs. The highest packages are offered based on your performances. But the lowest package is really good. Also a lot of students get placement from this college.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, students can get jobs in the hospitals but if you are from the RIT department you can get a job in the 2nd year. The highest package in my course was 12 lakh per annum and the lowest is 3 lakh per anum. Almost 90% students get the placements which are why dy Patil is so good. I will pursue a masters degree after my bachelor's from the same college.
