Likes
- Infrastructures are good and it has a open environment
- Professors are lenient but hard working and they're very chill
- Lots of interactive activities for students and festivals
Dislikes
- The main hostels are a bit old compared to the private ones, would be better if they can update it
Course Curriculum Overview
I take up computer science which is a very relevant course in this day of age. It teaches the students how to code, hack and even some market side of IT. They provide projectors, computers and laptops for students to use. For improvement maybe they can update on some topics.
Fees and Financial Aid
We pay twice per year depending on different courses, students will higher percentage gets better rate of admission. My batchmates pay different amount for different courses which is on the higher side for chemistry
Campus Life
Campus Life has been quite alright. I don't really go out much but the little time I had inthe campus has been fun and refreshing. We have library and computers we can use whenever we need, there's tons of clubs and extracurricular
Hostel Facilities
It's a single room with ample water supply and electricity. It's near the college campus. The meals are quite nutritious and tasty. As for dinner we get non veg and for breakfast we get veg. For registration we just submit the credentials and pay some amount for admission
Admission
I got accepted in some shillong colleges like st Edmunds, etc but I didn't really opt for it since bachelors can be done in my hometown itself. So I might take my masters outside but for my BSC I'm gonna complete it here. The admission process is quite simple, there's like a 70% cutoff and we just submit the necessary credentials
Faculty
It has a 1:20 faculty to student ratio and it's convenient for both student and faculty since it's not jam packed. Every faculty members helps the student and I don't dislike any of them. The exams are hard like any other good colleges and the routine is spread of evenly for he students to score well
Other Applied Colleges
North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology - [NERIST] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Got 92 percentile in JEE but class 12 maths marks wasn't satisfactory
