Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the course as it was sponsered course where I knew I already have job in my pocket before course starts. course was peractical oriented, where every thusday we were taken to Industry to see practical things. Improvement can be made if industry person could teach or lecture few subject more often instead of college facalty. every month we had exams which were easy
Internships Opportunities
In our course second full year is internship where we literally had to work in L&T while doing our m.Tech project. we were welding engineer at l&T. our work is to develop the new procedure of welding to replace the conventional way to save time and cost of company, and make it successfully implemented in production
Placement Experience
For this course there is no placement facilities as placement already done while course admission. Package for L&T was 4.2 LPA in 2013. Out of 9 students 6 students were L&T sponsered. also other company gives sponsership like ESSAR had given 1 students in 2013-2015 batch. only 2 students had to find job form their own.
Fees and Financial Aid
ME welding was sponsered course by L&T, which I used to get reimbursement. Alse MSU Baroda is a Government college, where fees structure is very less , I donot think there is any scholarships or financial aid that are available for students
Campus Life
Annual festivals such as Utsav held in feburary and march featuring music, dance and drama. Then Sankalp focussed on social and cultural activities occure around janurary, and Techfest showcase innovations and tech projects. They have big library, where almost all tech books required for the course are available. They have laborataries to show practically whatever we learn class. They have cultural club, music and dance club, debating society, and technical clubs
Admission
As I told earlier I select this college because this is the only college where L&T sponsered the ME Welding course. I didnt apply to other M.Tech college. this course was fit for those whose aim is to get into manufacturing. Benefit for this course is we were having job in our pocket while doing M.Tech
Faculty
They have strong academic backgrounds, and often involved in research and contribute to academic journals, I liked our HOD due to his helping nature. I didnt like Kahar Sir, forgot his full name , he did lack knowledge, there are two semister main, and 4 class test which numbers are added to final results.
