Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh : Worth it or NOT

Academic Curriculum is very impressive to be honest. They don't waste time on irrelevant subjects instead they add subjects that should be in the curriculum according to the market's demand. Examination are frequently held. 3 sessional tests then end sem examination.

Many companies comes to college for internship and placements. Me with my friends have made few projects for web application. One of them was movix : review & rating website. Other than than there are hackathons that university conducts after particular interval of time.

From 6th Sem onwards, you'll be eligible for campus placements. There are lot of companies that frequently visits our campus. Till now, few of them are Siemens, razor pay, scaler etc Highest package: 22 LPA Average: 7 LPA. Cgpa of students getting placement varies from 7-9.5

I am 2022 BE student, my annual academic fees was 1,40,000 Rs. (70,000 Rs per semester). Since then until my graduation i.e 2026 my annual academic fees will remain same as per college rules. But for the recent batch, which is 2024-onwards, the fees has been increased by 10,000 Rs. Hence total annual academic fees is : 1,60,000 Rs. ( 80,000 Rs. per semester). Talking about registration fees and caution fees, you'll have to pay 1000 Rs for registration and a security deposit of 10,000 Rs. only once in the beginning during admission which is refundable after the graduation. 8,000 Rs. for uniform which includes 8 Tshirts and 3 hoodies ( lower / jeans is your choice ) As per category wise, academic fees is same for all. Overall, for complete 4 years, it'll cost around 6,40,000 Rs. which, I think is quite affordable.

Annual event - ALGORYTHM A lot of tech fests and cultural fests held in the campus Library is available in campus with hundred of books For sports , we have cuArcs club. Basket ball court , football cricket ground, sport complex which has multiple indoor games and a gymnasium. Other clubs are :- CSI, IEEE, CEED, ACM

Hostel is totally worth it. For four sharing room, we have one bed, one table including drawer and slab with table lamp and an almirah is given. You can opt for AC hostel too. If not then we have one cooler in each room. Hygiene and daily cleanliness is maintained

I did not applied for other colleges I directly went into Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh. The most important thing that the fees is quite low if we compare it to other colleges with almost same placements and curriculum. Eligibility :- 12th with aggregate 60% + in PCM. That's it.

There are almost 500 - 600 Students in CSE batch every year, divided into sections of 80 student in per class. Every faculty is doctorate (Ph.D.). Ratio is justified From my experience, Dr. Girish Rao is the best teacher/ mentor. There are 3 sessional tests in a semester, 2 Formative assessments and final End term examination
