The college consist of many events yearly. The main event among all these events is INOVISION which is lasted for two days
The college has a beautiful ground which is maintained by the college and many sports activities are done on it
The college provides cold and normal water in the campus. Which helps the students in summer

Dislikes

The dumping yard is next to the college which leads to pungent smell of garbage
The college gate is closed in 7 20am after that we are not allowed to enter the college.. Even if we are late by minutes
Commerce students are not Receiving the facilities which are received by other block students such as AC ROOMS, Proper toilet,

The library consist of wide variety of books and is a peaceful place to read a book..the sports held i our campus are taverna basketball tournament and rectors cup football tournament.. The college consist of clubs such as NCC AND NSS

Admission

Salesian college provides us with the best platform and opportunity in spots and education. As I am into sports and I wanted to join this college as it provides us best facilities. I fill up my first admission in this college and i was called for an interview. My name was there in the merit list and the first instalment was paid and my admission was accepted by the college

Faculty

The faculty member of commerce Department is friendly. We can easily clear our doubts in the class. Majority of the teachera take care of student personally.. Which make the students comfortable.. The college consist of INTERNALS and CIA examination, both the exams are hard , internals consist of 60 marks and CIA consist of 20 but it is conducted 3 times

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

A brief description about salesian

I had chosen this college as even my brother studied in this college and all the time I used to hear good things about the college and once I went to the college I was so amazed to see such beautiful campus. The infrastructure is sooo good there are proper facilities provided which is required for the students and even the facilities are the best one who provides the proper guidance so I had no 2nd thought about joining this college. and due to which I even didn't applied in any other colleges because I wanted to get admission in salesian college.
