Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As I will be doing clinical embryology in my msc I wanted to learn more abt the microscopic world so that it won't be a complete waste . The faculties help us with the curriculum on how to use some of the lab equipment so we have enough knowledge. I wish they didn't teach us like a YouTube lecture and take us on real life experience. Most the classes are like those YouTube lectures videos. Exams are not difficult if u learn the topic. The teachers are not that strict with the question paper either. What they give in the question bank is what comes for the exam.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Yenepoya offers varieties of company as they have collaborate with big high tech companies. Medical students are sent to kochi , Trivandrum, Manipal, Pune for their research studies and nursing etc. I am only in 2nd year so I don't know much about it.

Placement Experience

4

From 5th semester the students become eligible for campus placement. For mba students the company visited was TCL one of the largest company. The highest package would be 10000 and the lowest would be 2000 as per the company and profile offered Students should acquire 85% in their final exam of 2nd year for placement . My plan after degree would be to join msc for clinical embryology

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly I pay 90000 which includes tuition fee, lab fee and etc. caution fee depends on the sop rules and regulations. Per semester 45000 that too depends on the year. Yenepoya offers 30% off on tuition fee if the student have scored 95% and above in their PUC.

Campus Life

4

Annual programs are usually conducted by the end of year . Excluding that we have cultural festivals where we wear traditional clothing usually conducted on November along with carnival events. Our library provides almost all books for the department to learn abt their syllabus and curriculum. Each classroom is provided with a digital tv where the students are taught about their syllabus. Yenepoya offers verities of extracurricular activities such as karate , kabaddi , table tennis, etc. a student run social media is our yenstories where we post all the activities and all the news which happens in clg. This way people have an overview of how our campus is.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facilities compared to other hotels I would say it's way better and cheaper. For 75000 per year we are provided with 2 bedsheets , 1 bed , 2 pillow cases and 1 pillows along with plates cups and buckets. Even the food and laundry includes in that. The food quality is the best as we have our chef changed each month. The registration process for hostel is through the sop faculty. I live in Pumpwell girls hostel .

Admission

I applied to Bharath college in Chennai but when I did a check up on them it was like any Indian university. I didn't like the infrastructure at all and they didn't have a hospital or hostel which is difficult for me because I am an NRI student. When I came to know abt yenepoya I loved the infrastructure and they had the touch of abroad college. It was neat and clean and they provided placement and they had their own hospital and hostel . So without giving a second thought I got in

Faculty

3

The faculty's are by most friendly and is there to help us in needs. In my opinion I like danush sir as he knows how to manage any situation with ease and he is super knowledgeable. The best faculties in my department would be danush sir and Smitha ma'am as they both have helped me a lot with my things The faculty I don't like would be mrs. Manisha as she have been using students personal issue and pressing about it. She also have been using us as a puppet. The exams are pretty good as we are provided with question bank and we have to find answers to it . Some students merely 3 or 4 failed to clear exams . It depends on how u learn it.

Interview Experience

4

Honestly I was very tensed abt how the faculty would be and was preparing for any questions they would ask but turns out they just wanted a qualified student and I got in. They were so kind and prolly saw my tensed face and they made comfortable around them.

From final year the students can apply for the placements. At least 60% should be there to be eligible for the placement. Many companies provides placements in this college like infosys, Accenture, Mahindra and many more. The average package as per the company is 200000 per annum and the highest package is 700000 per annum. My plans after getting the degree is to go to abroad for my post graduate.

Placement Experience:

Usually there are placements in our college. If any student does not get a placement the faculty guide us what we can do next like the companies in which we can apply and how we can go further. In my course after finishing the bachelors degree you can further study masters it is available in our college itself or yoj can aplly for companies but if you do your masters you have a better opportunity and high posts for you better career. The course is of 8 semester you become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. The last year that is seventh and eighth semester is basically practical and lot of projects provided. There various companies are seniors have applied and offered for example the genetic company in Bangalore that is Med gen. The highest package offered is 50000 and the average starts from 25000 placements in college. There is 75 percentage of students getting placements from our college. My plans after getting the degree is to go for further studies and do the masters after that i would like to do job along with my phd, this is my plan after getting my bachelors degree.

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists

I chose this course because I want to go into it field. The faculty is good here nothing to improve about that and the student ratio is 5:3. Qualification is good and the teaching method like some lectures is good. Term exams will be after 6 months from starting of sem and it's not as difficult as pu or 10th exams we can easily pass them.
