Likes
- The size of each classroom in btech year is approximately 100 which gradually decreases as we ascend years. All teachers are attentive to each student which is very good.
- The laboratories are well maintained and are enough for the students to learn the experiments.
- Student can stay after college to take supplementary classes and also to do their own pending work and laboratory works.
Dislikes
- Fixed college hours. We cannot leave before the dispersal time.
- Not a dislike but discipline is taught highly here. Which is good for life values.
Course Curriculum Overview
Computer science has always had my keen interest from my junior days and so I opted for this course. Apart from this, soft skills and other aspects are taught to make us ready for the touch and disciplined life ahead of our college days. As of now we have faced no difficulty in the course curriculum and it's teaching methods. And the exams are timely taken
Internships Opportunities
Internships are considered from the 2nd year so I am not eligible to answer this. However internship offers are given to us, the campus brings us those offers themselves so that we can have that experience of the real world.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from there 3rd or 4th year. Mostly companies like TCS, Infosys, etc. find there way here and pick out the deserving stydents. Highest package recieved: 72lakhs Average packages offered are around 8 to 9 lakhs. After getting degree I plan on doing MBA, and help out in my family businesses and also plan on opening my own afterwards.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees for my 4 year btech course in CSE is around 8 to 9 lakhs. It is the same and not increasing. Everything is covered in this amount. Materials and instruments for subjects like engineering drawing are not included here. I don't have idea of scholarship as I have not applied for any and reservation was not needed because I got in via. there private test and had a good score.
Campus Life
Festivals and events are held here almost everytime, enabling the students to participate in management works and team building scenerios. They are mostly held towards the end of the year around September to November. Various clubs are present here, ranging from astronomy to dancing and singing. I opted for photography because I have a strong point there. Library is vast, full of books written by our very own professors and also passout students. And it comes with a cyber area inside the library so that students can research. There is a basketball court and underground cricket net, football posts, mini golf, carrom, darts, yoga, table tennis, etc.
Admission
The admission process of this college went smoothly. All the colleges I applied to are basically the same, sitting at Tier 2. This college was in my state and is also well know for its disciplined pass outs who are making there name in various fields and is preferred over the other colleges I applied to. I applied through there private exam IEMJEE, and ranked 68 amongst thousands, hence I was eligible for CSE, which was the reason I came here.
Faculty
There are 7 subjects in my first year. The professors of each subject are great teachers and are attentive to every student. They even provide supplementary after college classes if a student is having any difficulty in any part of the subject. I personally love the engineering drawing faculty because, it is quite new to me and I love the drawing and autocad classes, and the teachers explain everything beautifully. In our first semester we have 2 exams, term 1 and term 2, which are held 2 months apart, and based on those our semester grades are evaluated. Subjects are based on credit system with the main subjects having more credits while the other having lesser.
