Course Curriculum Overview

4

There is no particular reason to choose this course. I think it depends on us how we study throughout the year, that will help us get through it. There are no areas for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods, the teachers are doing a great job. The exam timing are max 3 hours.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is quite affordable and can even get a concession. I did pay a registration fee of rs500. I dont know about the backward class fee as I am from an open class. There are no other compulsory charges during the course. There are no scholarships available for now but there might be as the college makes progress.

Campus Life

5

The campus life of this college is good. We do have alot of events going on throughout the year. The students plan, manage, organize, coordinate, and conduct these programs, the teachers review give us an approval to proceed or make changes. I have enjoyed all the events and it was the most fun part of the year. The college does prioritize sports and has a 3 to 4 day sports program, which is super fun. These events have a good impact on our lives as it adds abit of fun for us.

Admission

I did apply to alot of other colleges but I chose this one due to personal reasons and also cause the college is close to my house. The admission process of this college is quite simple, it is done online and all you have to do is submit a printout of the form to the college office and pay fees. There is no cutoff, any student can apply. They do have external too.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty members of our college are good. We did have a shortage of teaching staff because existing teachers had to take lectures in other collges too. We do have a good relationship with our teachers, they are quite fun to be around and teach good. We have 2 semester's each year, each having 2 exams, in total 4 exams a year. If a student is lrepared for the exam it is quite easy but if he or she dint then the exam might apper difficult. Not many students fail.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
