VIT Bhopal- Actually a pretty decent college (Detailed review)

Course curriculum for different branches is very relevant and updated every 2-3 years due to industry standards. CSE Core had everything I mean all domains cybersecurity, AIML, blockchain so I wanted a diverse field not just 1 specialisation. The areas of improvement are they are still less focused on practicality rather they want students to muh up for the exams. Frequency and timing of exams is good exams depend on the shifts daily there are 2-3 shifts which vary difficulty level according to the teacher.

I haven't opted for any internship oppurtunites yet. But the college gives internship opportunities to colleges, all from Microsoft, Google, and more companies. You usually get software engineer intern roles for starters but I am sure there are more. There is also a semester where we are sent to different companies for experiencial learning. All the internship oppurtinities are informed to us by the college through our university mail, so if you are interested keep an eye out for that.

The placement in all VIT campus are centralized meaning you will get opportunities to sit in all the companies that come in vellore and chennai campus too. The univerisitiy claims a placement rate of 90% which I think just might be true. Job opportunities are good here as everything is based on your Cgpa as you got the chance to sit in the placement according to your cgpa, so I would suggest to maintain a CGPA of 8 and above. Some really good companies that visit the college are AMD, NVIDIA, Intel, Google, Microsoft, PayPal,Flipkart,etc. Highest Package here is 59LPA and the average is around 8.5 LPA which are quite decent for a private college in my opinion.

The tution fees depends on your catgeory. The catgegory depends upon your scored rank the VITEEE entrance exam. There are 5 categories each having different fee with being lowest in category 1 and increasing till 5. My tution fees is 198000 after getting category 1 and the total fees is 800000 . My friends pay around 300000 per year as per category 3. In the first year they took tution fees , caution fees, registration fees and admission fees.

The campus life is pretty decent out here. It was fun to experience a concert for the first time. We have an annual colleg Fest known as AdVITya, every year. Ayushman Khurana, mohit Chauhan, Shirley setia have been the previous performers.I was lucky to be a part of the media team for this fest. They usually happen in starting of the year. We also have a library with a lot of resources, all are easy to access. Every classroom has a projector and two whiteboards in the front. Speaking of sports, there are no limits to several sports you can play, We have a wooden basketball court.The surroundings are good here but the college was established in 2017 so the campus is in building process but there is no shortage of space in any feild. Students here are form different parts of country so we get a chance to learn more about different cultures. Various clubs keep organizing events like garba night, Punjabi night. All the festivals are celebrated with great interest.

The boy's hostel has 6 blocks, out of which block 1 is considered normal and all others are premium. But the block hostel is hell, the food quality is bad, no proper hygiene in mess. More than 2000 people live in block 1 hostel. So many rooms here don't even have proper sunlight. The management is really bad. Other blocks can be considered good looking at food and hygiene. The menu is repetitive and the taste of the food is barely eatable. You need to get inside the hostels before 9 pm in blocks 2,3,4,5,6 and block 1 u need to come back before 8.30 pm. The hostel registration process happens after the admission counselling in online mode where you can submit room preference and all which will be decided upon your VITEEE rank.

I chose VIT Bhopal University ove other colleges as it was the best I had left with me. VIT Univerisity has its own entrance exam called VITEEE which is way less competitive than JEE due to which I could secure a decent Rank in it and got admission in category 1 which is the best category for admission. Due to my low score in JEE there were 2 more tier 3 colleges I applied in but VIT bhopal was a better option in my opinion and I also got counselling done before other colleges.

Faculty here are top class and well experienced in their feelds. Every single faculty has PhD degree in the subject they teach from very reputated institutes like DU and IIT's. Faculty to student ratio is 1:75 in an average class which makes easy for each student to ask doubt & clarify their queries. Faculties can be easily approached by students in working hours in their cabins. They are good mentors & they support us very well.
