Life at BIITM

I selected the IMBA course for the better corporate jobs and this college especially provides good placements. The course includes 10 semesters in which all the relevant subjects are there along with specialization ( last 2 years) courses that helps in real world job positions. They can improve the course by including latest technology trends ( like ERP, AI, Machine learning etc) to help students getting updated. The exams are frequent and done in various ways, like surprise test, quiz test, 2 internals per semester and semester exam. The difficulty is mid which tests the subject knowledge and practical understanding of students.

Campus provides internship opportunities for 30 days or 45 days, 2-3 times in the course lifetime. The companies including My Home Industries Pvt Ltd, Capdeal, Annapurna finance, Bhubaneswar Stock Exchange and Odisha Capital Market Bhubaneswar, Bajaj Allianz, etc. The projects include different tasks for different specializations, such as for HR, the tasks are CV shortlisting, resume screening, GD and PI, for finance it includes stock market analysis, project writing, market research survey etc.

1. From the 9th semester itself students become eligible for campus placements. 2. There are more than 150 companies appear for campus placements with some big names including federal Bank, Flipkart, Asian paints, Berger, Global data, Oracle, ICICI, HDFC, Capdeal etc. 3. The highest package is offered by Federal Bank with CTC of 14 lacs per annum and Global data with mora than 10 LPA. 4. 100% of students get placed. 5. My plan is to join a good bank with a good work culture in financial role . The placements are provided in different specializations including Finance (37%), HR, operations, Marketing and retail.

IMBA course is for 5 years including 10 semesters. Per semester the fees is Rs. 30000 (till 3 years ) and Rs. 45000 (last 2 years) including Rs. 1500 in each semester as examination registration. Admission fees is generally Rs. 10000 through Ojee, and other expenses like uniform and ID card are included. The fees is same for all categories (general,obc,sc,st etc) College provides scholarship in very rare cases. Overall the course fees is Rs. 350000

1. The annual festivals are held in campus such as annual function (October-November) , student induction programmes for new admission (August-September) , and cultural programmes. 2. The library contains all the subject books along with newspaper (Business Standard) and non fiction books which students can take for limited time as rent ( 3 months). 3. The campus have 2 computer labs with lastest equipments and have more than 50 PC. Classes are conducted with projecting PowerPoints and rooms are well air conditioned 4. Sports is held every year in January month and students are provided prize at annual function ceremony. 5. Students have NSS club and YUVA club for extra curricular activities like tree plantation, blood donation, food distribution, Yoga etc.

1. After 12th I applied for 2 courses one is Integrated MBA at BIITM, Bhubaneswar and computer science at Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. I got approval from both the college but I optioned for BIITM as it was nearest to my residence and compared to other colleges it provided better placements with adequate fees 2. No, I got approval from other colleges but I optioned for IMBA course. 3. The college provides admission through 2 ways that are OJEE exam and Non OJEE entrants. The process needs basic documentations and admission fees of Rs. 10000 and then consecutive semester fees as the course goes on. The students with more than 50% marks ( general category) and 40-45% (sc/st category) in 12th are eligible for applying, OJEE entrance is the most preferred way for students with a cut off of minimum 500 rank

The faculty to students ratio here is 20:200. Every student get assigned with faculties to create a mentor-mentee relationship. They can address every issue they face to the faculties which is really good. I personally like Dr. Bijoy Bal Sir (prof. Communication), Sudeshna Dutta and Dr. Chinmay ku. Rout Sir (Finance) for their vast subject knowledge and way of delivering lecture to students. There are other assistant faculties who need some improvement. Almost every students are able to clear the examinations and the questions are structured by BPUT. The course curriculum is well structured along with relevant add on courses.
