Ahmedabad University offers a truly unique learning experience as it combines academic rigor with an abundance of opportunity. Here, students learn how to practically use their theoretical knowledge under the guidance of faculty, university management, and their seniors.

Ahmedabad University follows the principle of interdisciplinary learning. Which means a student is not just restricted to the subjects of their particular field, but are also free to study certain elective subjects as well. The courses at Ahmedabad University are designed to provide the student with the ability to apply the theoretical knowledge of the course in practical life. This is achieved through project-based learning and various research projects, that are a part of the courses.

The Career Development Center at Ahmedabad University is responsible for providing guidance and counseling regarding careers and also assists the students in availing internships and placements. Many reputable companies and NGOs recruit interns from Ahmedabad University during the Summer Internship Programme. I have worked as a student volunteer at the NGO Teach for India as a part of the summer internship.

A diverse range of events is held at Ahmedabad University, such as the Ahmedabad University Youth Fest which includes various competitions and performances. Ahmedabad University also conducts the Leadership Series Lectures, which are interactive talks by the eminent and notable personalities of the corporate world with Ahmedabad University students. In addition to this, the various student clubs at the University organize events at regular intervals.

I am currently a part of the Bachelor of Commerce Programme(3-year program). The fee structure of this program is Rs. 30000 per semester, since there two semesters in an academic year the total fees for one year is Rs. 60000. The Bachelor Of Commerce Honours Programme, which is a 4-year program, will be started by the University from the academic year 2019-2020. The fees structure of this program is different and all the details of the fee structure are available on the Ahmedabad University website.

Ahmedabad University offers scholarships on the basis of academic merit and the economic background of the student's family. The Merit Scholarship is offered to the top ranking students in each program, the students are selected by the University for the Merit Scholarship on the basis of their academic performance.

Ahmedabad University appreciates and encourages diversity within the institution, students from diverse cultural backgrounds and diverse interests are a part of the University. The gender ratio at the University is fairly equal. The University provides the required technical infrastructure for each program and encourages participation in extracurricular activities. The students have multiple student clubs which they can join as well. There are many opportunities available for participation in various literary, sports, management, and technological competitions and events.

The senior students at Ahmedabad University have always been supportive and nurturing towards their junior students. There is a strong bond and connect among all Ahmedabad University students and the senior students are open to providing guidance and advice.

Ahmedabad University follows a holistic approach while selecting applicants for admission, so the applicants are assessed on the basis of their overall profile and not just academics. The steps of the application procedure are: 1. Online Application form: The applicants must fill the form and upload the required documents. The form also includes a section called ' Statement Of Purpose' in which the applicant has to write an essay of about 500 words on the given topic. 2. Personal Interaction: The candidates whose application forms are shortlisted are called for personal interaction with a faculty panel. The personal Interaction is done in-person or via Skype. 3. Admission: The students who are shortlisted after the personal interaction are selected for admission.

The faculty at Ahmadabad University are approachable and willing to assist the students in their academic pursuits. Students are free to approach the faculty with their doubts and also receive guidance and support in their academic and co-curricular endeavors.
