Great faculty and campus life

Likes

I liked the faculty here as they are very professional and dedicated to their academics. The academic standards in this college are kept high.
The infrastructure in this college is top notch as it provides access to a big physical library along with many premium digital libraries and journals. The Bloomberg Lab is also made available for students.
The course curriculum and evaluation methods are contemporary and include many aspects which is an advantage along with interdisciplinary learning.

Dislikes

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is kept very contemporary and competitive with premier business schools. Although certain subjects are given less or more time comapred to other B schools. Interdisciplinary learning is prioritized and students can choose a variety of courses from the university including engineering, science and arts courses. The curriculum also includes "lab" subjects which are mostly based on improving the skillsets needed for management roles.

That it was not residential for our course
The scheduling of the classes as there are long gaps between lectures

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is relevant for today and is industry ready. The teaching practices are not just theoritical but practical. The question asked in the exams are also application based which really develops critical thinking.

The campus is awesome, it has great areas and has a great experience
The study is interdisciplinary means students can decide which subject they want to study.
The activities happing here is the best in Ahmedabad

Dislikes

HR faculty Ekta Sharma, she is very arrogant
CDC director, nothing specific for career only big talks
Very less industry exposure, this can be improved.

Placement Experience:

Here the placement are provided by the CDC, the career development centre and the placements here are on an average good and the support provided by the placement team is also good. Here. You can apply for the finance and for the marketing, but as well as the HR is concerned. You can also look for some other colleges because here companies are not very much concerned for HR.

A good campus with balance, academic and activities

Likes

The campus has an active and engaging student life with regular fests, activities get lectures and competition that encourage participation, networking, and overall personality development
most faculty members are experienced and knowledgeable with a practical teaching approach.
The infrastructure is well maintained with a good classroom library and learning resources. Placement support is decent with regular company with training sessions and resume Building guidance.

Dislikes

while placements are decent, the number of top tier companies is limited.
some administrative processes like approval, documentation, and fee related queries can be slow at times and require multiple follow-up from students.

Placement Experience:

The college of decent placement support and students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final year. The placement shall conduct regular training session, including resume, training, mock interview, interviews and soft skills development.

Infrastructure - The buildings and faciliies provided are very nice and it is defintely comfortable to study and read.
Faculty - The faculty is really good and highly educated, you get to learn alot
Project Based Learning - It is not just theoritical learning - you make cool projects in all courses

Dislikes

Personal but for me it was the distance travel as my college was far from my home
Compared to all branches SEAS is very rigid and tight compared to others
Some courses are very traditional and doesnt help alot if the faculty is very very strict

Placement Experience:

Placements are strong with 97% rate. in 2024 and with average placement package is 7-9 LPA,with highs of 15 LPA. TOP recruiters includes Adani,Google and Deloitte. Many students also decide to pursure startups and off site placement

My honest Experience at Ahmedabad University

Likes

i liked that the college created an environment where learning actually felt productive. most of faculty members are approachable and knew how to explain consepts clearly.
campus life is balanced. there were enough clubs and events to meet new people feeling overwhelming.
the infractructure is very good. classrooms, labs and the library are maintend well.

Dislikes

a few courses felt outdated and could benefit from more practical exposure.
course registration can feel more confusing.
wi-fi can be inconsistent,especially in certain parts of college

Placement Experience:

Placements at Ahmedabad University are structured and well-organised. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and the placements cell starts preparing us earlier through workshops, mock interviews and resume sessions. A good range of companies visit the campus, including consulting firms, it companies, finance and analytics roles, start-ups and well-known multinational organisations. The number of offers varies each year, but most visiting companies recruit for roles like business analysts, software developers, marketing associates, finance trainees and operations roles.

all about Ahmedabad University: A student need to know

Likes

college has a very good and vast infrastructure, it provides many areas such as reading rooms, silent study, sports are (indoor and outdoor) and it is widely scattered with 3 campuses and many buildings in each campus.
faculty is good and they are helpful, can be approached at their office hours.
college has a good online system and the updates are made regulary.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after first semester in MBA as students have to compulsorily do summer internship. highest package last year was around 12lpa and average package being 7lpa. if prepared well for the interview rounds with the company, you can get a good placement but you have to take first mover advantage.

AMSM is amazing.

Likes

Critical thinking, practical learning and interdisciplinary studies is what make our university better than the rest.
Industry professionals are the ones who teach us and thereby they are the best tutors.
Because our university has great connections in the industry and therefore not just placements but even internships provided at our college are among the best.

Dislikes

Crowd is not that diverse as majority of students are from Gujarat.

Placement Experience:

Banks, and other corporate houses including Adani Group, GSFC, Sunpharma and so many top industries have tie-ups with our college and along with placements they also provide us internships aa well. BBA students get an average salary of 5 lakhs a year and MBA students exactly the double that is 10 lakhs a year.

The campus placement of our university is fair enough. There are big companies coming up like wipro, icici bank, hdfc and amazon. The highest package offered is of 16 lakhs while the average package is of 4.5 lakhs. My plan after getting degree is to pursue MBA

Journey to Ahmedabad University

Likes

The faculties are so helpful throughout the course.
The infrastructure is one of the best with all the amenities within the campus.
The course curriculum is designed in the way that the student get exposer to different fields like they are allowed to choose any course beyond their major branch.

Dislikes

Placement at Ahmedabad University is not that good a very small number of companies came this year for campus hiring.
There are time when the gab between two lectures is so long.
Student have to compulsory maintain an 75% attend throughout the course in any of the case.

Placement Experience:

The overall placement is good around 90% of the student who registered for the placements got placed in the placement cycle 2025. Form the 7th sem the placement drive start and the preparation for the placement start from the 6th sem, taking months exams and interviews. The highest package was 13.38 LPA and the lowest was 5 LPA. Also, after the 6th sem the student are given oppurtunity to opt for Internship in the summer break.

One of my friends pursued his BBA degree from Ahmedabad University. His review regarding the institute is as follows.

Regardless of the course, you are pursuing, you need to stay engaged in your studies throughout the year at AU. You can’t mug up your books right before your examination and score well. You will have quizzes, case studies, presentations, etc. almost before every class.
It offers a wide range of courses. You will need to make your own timetable for the subjects that you choose.
The faculty of the institute is helpful. You can talk to them about your area of interest.
There are many clubs that you can join. Every Wednesday, different club events take place.
