- Various opportunities and a ton of clubs to enhance my skills like coding clubs ,robotics club,etc.
- Campus life is good. Its a huge campus about 250 acres so it has all the facilities like grounds ,swimming pool,etc.
- There is a lot of diversity in the college. You get to meet people from all parts of india
Dislikes
- Mess food is not good. Its good on some days and bad on other.
- Some professors are rude and have zero patience towards students.
- The fee is very high. They also increased the fee by 25000 for every branch.
Course Curriculum Overview
In first year they teach all the subjects including chemistry ,biology, English and maths along with coding. Additional subjects like yoga and foreign language are also there. In second year subject are mainly related to coding and stuff.
Internships Opportunities
There are lot of companies which come to provide internships to 3rd year students. They also receive good stipends depending on their project. Companies like amazon also come to the college. They conduct exams for the selection of students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for B.tech CSE core is 4,50,000/ year. My course is B.tech Cse with specialization in Information Technology and its fee is 4,00,000/ year. The fee is different for different specializations with Computer Science. But most of them has 4,00,000 / year. CSE with AI/Ml has 4,25,000/ year. Registered fee is 10,000(only one time) . Rest is included in the tution fee. Scholarship: It depends on your SRMJEE Rank. 1-300 AIR - 90% Scholarship you get If your parents are in defence then you get a scholarship of 20% on the tution fee.
Campus Life
There are basically two fests that are organized in SRM. First one is Aarush that is a technical fest and it is held in odd semesters in September or october. The next one is Milan that is a cultural fest and it is held in Even semester in the month of march.
Hostel Facilities
There are various types of hostels such as AC/Non Ac. I am currently residing in Mullai that is non ac hostel. The hostel facilities is good. The wifi speed is also good except at night. Mess food is not that good. Its average. Somedays it is averagee and some day the food is oily. But the breakfast is quite good.
Admission
I got VIT chennai and Bhopal but there reviews were not that good and they were also not the main branch that is vellor. Thats why SRM KTR seemed to be the most appropriate option . On comparing these three SRM seemed better and the placement record was better than Vit chennai and bhopal
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is good. Some faculty are very good and supportive to students. While on the other hand some are not . They cut your marks for not writing the answer according to their perspective. Priyajit Mondal is a good maths faculty in SRM. There are 2 or 3 Class tests before the sem end exam. The CTs comprise of 60 marks of total and sem exam comprise of 40 mark's. The number of students failing in the exam is quite less.
