- overall campus life is good with people from all over the world because its a huge college so you get to socialise with a big random group of people.
- the infrastructures are really impressive with all of them up to date and huge and advanced.
- it is a bit strict so if u like a bit more relaxed college u would find it just a bit hard as its not that strict as schools.
Dislikes
- the parking facility for students is really bad and risky as new vehicles get scratched most of the time.
- the road safety inside the campus is at zero as there are a million scooter or bikes and cars coming from all the directions so u have to be careful.
- the teachers ive interacted with most dont know how to speak english properly so if ur from outside Tamil Nadu u will find it a bit hard to talk to them.
Course Curriculum Overview
in terms of relavence it my first year i had a lot of unwanted subjects so i had a bad review about that but other than that from second year its subjects we need only so i wont complain that much.the course overall is not that hard so as long as u study for internals and maintain ur cgpa ur good to go.
Internships Opportunities
the internship options available here are really good as they contain companies like google, microsoft, ibm, hcl etc. there are a lot of hackathons and ideathons from various clubs in srm so you can always opt for that and go state level or even national levels.
Placement Experience
placements are really good and start from 4th year and the training for that starts from 3rd sem.i am planning on continuing my studies by taking up mba or something like that after out of india as i want more exposure.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees for my course which is Btech in Computer science with specialisation in cyber security is around 4,00,000 per year. My friends who are in Btech CSE Core are paying a bit more than 4,00,000. There are no extra fees other than tuition fees once you are enrolled in college. There are discounts for people who served in the army because my friend has availed that but the only condition is that he has to maintain an average GPA of more than 7.
Campus Life
overall the campus life is really good as the campus is huge covering of about 300 acres and theres a lot of stores for students and u get everything here itself. the infrastructures provided are above standards as they are really advanced.
Hostel Facilities
the hostel facility is really good and safe but the intime and hostel strictness is there as they are not that lenient to anything. the rented accomodations are really good as you get premium flats starting from 30k per month which u can share with 6 people max.
Admission
i applied for various colleges but did not get into many due to the fact i didnt opt for chemistry in 12th so i prepared hard for srm as it was my last option and thankfully i got in the second phase.
Faculty
based on my experience most of the faculties are approachable as well as some are not at all so depends on the people and ur luck. As long as ur humble to them and treat them with respect they will do the same. i liked my first year chemistry sir Mr. Dipankar Das who helped me for many occasions when i needed. theres a total of 4 exams in which 3 are internal marks so ur total marks are divided into 60 40 ratio where 60 is internal and is achieved through the 3 internal exams throughout, each of them 20 max and the sem exam a total of 40.
