Course Curriculum Overview

Well the syllabus is standard for all the courses in India. The exposure one gets is from peers and clubs they join. In that aspect the college is lacking as they don't have clubs that provide sufficient exposure to students

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 22000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a student of general category and my yearly fees was around 22000 rupees. The fees is affordable and if you have received more than 85% marks in your 12th then you get yearly scholarship of 10000 rupees. As for fees of other categories refer to the college website.

Campus Life

As i previously stated the infrastructure is developed reasonable. The campus is spacious. The club part needs a lot of improvement if it needs to give sufficient exposure to students. Fests and events are regularly held

Admission

In my region the college is one of the best available choices and it was my first preference. Admission process is simple. Fill the form and wait for admission list. If you make it then fill out the fees

Faculty

The student to faculty ratio might seem on he higher end but students are sufficiently able to interact with the teachers if they are willing But the faculty is generally just focused on completing the syllabus rather than general understanding

Learning and Growth at PGGC-11

Placement Experience:

The students can sit for placements in their final year of course. The tricity based companies come for campus placements for jobs that need strong communication skills and basic knowledge of their domain. The maximum package that was offered goes up to 5 LPA, and the average packages are lower than this arounf 3 LPA. I wanted to go for Post Graduation so did not opt for campus placement.

The course curriculum is relevant and fairly comprehensive. Well defined syllabus with core subjects included. Balanced focus on theory and academic learning. Suitable for students aiming for higher studies. The curriculum prepares students well for post graduate studies and entrance exam.exposure to practical and industry oriented applications is limited. AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT- Inclusion of skill based and industry relevant modules. Greater use of interactive teaching methods. More guest lectures and workshops. Exams are conducted semester wise with internal assessments. Moderate difficulty. Questions are syllabus based and predictable

First SEM Experience

Placement Experience:

Around 80-90% of the students get placed in my course. The average package is 3LPA - 5LPA. This college has a decent placement record. The highest package offered is 7.6LPA. Companies like Google , Deloitte , Amazon , Infosys , Wipro , etc. come to the campus to pick excellent students for their company. The college also has a dedicated placement cell which helps the students to prepare for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is not hard ofcourse but it's pretty old fashioned and non modernistic . No technology inculcation in the curriculum. Difficulty level is not much . There should be modernisation of the curriculum. More technology inclusion . More tech based learning . More practical education.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

in terms of relevance. I must say that college has planned it all very significantly and the college exams is also very moderate easy to moderate kind of exam. MST is conducted one month before the final examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Application for this college is easy process. You just need to fill a form from dhe.chd.gov.in for which you have to pay very nominal fee ( i paid 70rs in 2023). Teaching methods are okay.likr there's so such thing that college is in Chandigarh so better teachers or something.
