Likes

The faculties are good they give you proper attention .
Campus life is good ample amount of space and for social interaction fests and other things are held yearly
Multiple workshops are held in the campus.

Dislikes

The thing i didn't like and want improvement is in the chemicals that are provided by lab are not enough and there are not enough chemicals

Well the course includes bioinformatics too so that eas the main reason for me joining this course. And there are some skill enhancement courses in the subject which helps us in interviews and other aspects

Internships Opportunities

Well the company's don't provide internship in our college but the jss hospital provides some internship courses on forensic science and other life sciences. But the faculties do provide referals which helps to get internship easily.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees has to be paid yearly and there are scholarship for lower castes. The fees of the course stays same every year with no increase.the fee structure is good as they provide ample amount of time to pay the fees and you can pay the fees in installments when you are fresher.

The infrastructure is good has a good wifi connection they provide a facility which is digital library in which students those who cant afford systems can use the computers and prepare their project .

Admission

The fees of this college was reasonable for the course i have taken in other colleges they were offering the course for the price of 1lakh and the ranking of this college is better than others. i didn't get rejected in the previous college the hostel fees was also huge.

There are 11-13 faculties in our department and for every 10 students there is a mentor provided for mentor mentee program. The are 2 semester exams which are held in every 4 months. And some exams are easy and some are tough.

Placement Experience:

From final year the students can apply for the placements. At least 60% should be there to be eligible for the placement. Many companies provides placements in this college like infosys, Accenture, Mahindra and many more. The average package as per the company is 200000 per annum and the highest package is 700000 per annum. My plans after getting the degree is to go to abroad for my post graduate.

Placement Experience:

Usually there are placements in our college. If any student does not get a placement the faculty guide us what we can do next like the companies in which we can apply and how we can go further. In my course after finishing the bachelors degree you can further study masters it is available in our college itself or yoj can aplly for companies but if you do your masters you have a better opportunity and high posts for you better career. The course is of 8 semester you become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. The last year that is seventh and eighth semester is basically practical and lot of projects provided. There various companies are seniors have applied and offered for example the genetic company in Bangalore that is Med gen. The highest package offered is 50000 and the average starts from 25000 placements in college. There is 75 percentage of students getting placements from our college. My plans after getting the degree is to go for further studies and do the masters after that i would like to do job along with my phd, this is my plan after getting my bachelors degree.

We have mandatory internship period after 2 years of teaching, and they provide internship and placement support. Different Companies come and take test and hire the eligible candidates. Regarding placement package, since it's just been 1 year of SST there cannot be said anything about it. But Scaler the parent Company of SST has average package of 22lakhs and highest package of 1.04cr.

Life at IISc- Pros and Cons

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists

Why you should join SST

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it was very curriculum heavy meaning the cirriculum was very good . the girls to boys ratio here is 1 : 8 . but this year only 200 peopel were selected out of 200. they are industry tech experts. they are passable

Do it for yourself

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to go into it field. The faculty is good here nothing to improve about that and the student ratio is 5:3. Qualification is good and the teaching method like some lectures is good. Term exams will be after 6 months from starting of sem and it's not as difficult as pu or 10th exams we can easily pass them.
