Course Curriculum Overview
So I chose this course because i want to pursue professional course in future and this course is the basic requirement for it we are being prepared to face the world with knowledge about commerce and business the world at this moment is running because of trade and commerce only this field has enormous opportunities and my course also provides specialization in any subject which is another good thing that can help us in future.
Placement Experience
4th semester students are considered for placement and even campus placements are there for them the companies approach our university for selection and the selection rate is around 70% as of last year. The companies visited are TCS and 2-3 other companies. The highest package was around 20LPA for bcom hns My plans after degree is to go for CFA which is an international degree professional course.
Fees and Financial Aid
So in JMI there are two type of courses regular and self finance for regular the fees is - Tution fees = 1100 Examination fee=1000 Games fee=600 Library fee=300 Library caution fee=500 Admission fee=100 Other charges=4075 And For self finance course- Tution fees=21600 and other charges are same as above the timing of both the batches are different regular is morning batch while self finance starts from 3pm our university also provides scholarships to student there are many fellowship programs on the students website through which we can avail benefits and can cover hostel as well as tution fees. This fee structure is uniform for all the students irrespective to their reservation caste except ews although they can all apply for fee concession if they want to
Campus Life
There are many fests organised whole year like around 14 fests are there among which foundation day on 29th to 31st oct is the biggest one stalls and programs are organized specially for this day whole jamia gathers at one place and different shows are held which makes it super exciting although other fests are also good but this one is the best. Our university has many social clubs and student communities which is like heaven for freshers you can get notes and advices from seniors very easily there is also and NGO run by our seniors for poor children development which is a good initiative by them.
Admission
I applied for DU and got Sri Aurobindo but it was really far away and also i cracked the JMI entrance. My main reason to choose JMI is that its NIRF ranking 3 from last three years and Sri Aurobindo is a good college but anyone would prefer university over it and also JMI is near my home so it save time and i also have applied for short term skill courses which again needs time. So the admission process is that after clearing entrance you will have to prepare your documents which includes 1. 10th marksheet 2. 12th marksheet 3. Character Certificate 4. Transfer certificate 5. Anti ragging affidavit 6. Blood group report 7. Caste certificate (if belong to any other than general) 8. Entrance admit card
Faculty
We have around 15 members in commerce faculty and there is also a guest faculty there for VAC subjects. Our accountancy and business law professors Dr. Izhar Ahmad and Dr.M.K. Nabi are really nice they are really considerate towards student and they also run student helpdesk they provide advices to students and guides them with regular counselings. Nabi sir also have his own quiz club which is another informational thing we have. The even semesters exams commence in December and odd semesters in May while sessionals depends upon the teachers. The exams are easy and scoring and not many students fail in them hardly 2-3 are there otherwise all students score decent marks.
Other Applied Colleges
