Know in Detail about Chemical Engineering at VNIT NAGPUR.

Application is the first thing which drew me to choose chemical engineering. It is applicable throughout. Vast field with vast opportunities. Chemical engineering is very good and course being taught in our department is very good and applicable in industry. I provoked interested in me to learn more and do more in this field. Chemical Engineering is really very good field to study and reasearch. It makes us ready to become the worlds best chemical engineers. I am highly satisfied with the curriculum, it is very applicable in real world. Only area of improvement required is in placement and our few labs. Placement is low and few labs have machines in operative. Class Test and Surprise Test are taken often, to keep us prepared for upcoming exams. Exams are easy if we keep doing small tasks daily.

Accenture is offering summer intern with in hand stipen of 50000 per month so is ITC and goldmanm Sach and Cisco is offering 98000 per month for summer intern. Dashcom for cse is offering 1.5 lac per month. Don't have much idea about internship roles. But every student gets chance to apply for intern if company criteria are fulfilled.

From 5th semester student become elligible for campus placement( internships) From 7th sem for jobs. TCS, Infosys, ITC, Johson Johson, Goldmann Sachs, Accenture, Cisco, BPCL, Dashcom, and many more. 60% student get placement as 40% have back or less cgpa or didn't apply for placement. Highest package in chemical is 19 LPA, Median is 9.46 LPA, And average is approx 7 to 8 LPA I Would go for startup and will give GATE Exam to try for PSU as placement is less in our college.

In start one time deposit is made of 15500 This contains library deposit of 5000 Caution deposit of 5000, Identity Card 200, Medical Exam 100, Welfare Fund 1200, Medical aid fund 4000. Fees Paid every year by general category student is 133700 125000 is tution fess (SC/ST/PWD students are exempted from tution fees. They only need to pay 5225 rupees academic fees. This fees increases every year. By 20% approx.) Registration Fees- 500 Sports fees- 750 T&P- 400 Student Activity Fees- 1250 Development Fees- 3000 End Semester Examination Fees- 1000 Industry Institute Interaction Fees- 300 Library Fees- 750 Internet and Computer Maintainance Fees- 750 Fees need to be paid semester wise- 66850 OBC AND EWS STUDENT GET SOME FEES WAIVED IN TUTION BUT NOT FULLY. Fees remission facility is also provided in which 133700 fees paid to institute get refund every year. This facility is for most category whatever amount they pay get refunded full. Student Aid is also available for students.

We have fests and functions being arranged throughout the year. Techfest, AAROHI, AXIS, and more different fest are being arrange but 21 different clubs present in our college. Renounced people from different industry come as cheif guest in these fests. We have projectors, Green Boards, A big library. In first years sports period once in a week is complusory, we have badminton court, football ground, cricket, basketball, volleyball, handball, lawntennis grounds. We have a newly build swimming pool and seperate.gym for girls and boys in there respective hostel areas. Prayas club is vnits social club, Ecell is for startup, octave is for music lovers, and 18 more clubs are there. Clubs helps to boost morale of individual student and help them excel in different domains of life.

In First years, boys and girls have to stay in double sharing room. For girls double sharing is till 2nd year. Later they have choose of double as well as single room as per their convenience. Cupboards, bed, chair, table, balcony are provided in each room along with fan and tublelights. Meal currently is tasty but overall it is.average or below average. Menu is changed every month. Girls hostel area is different and boys hostel area is different. 10 boys hostel are there and 2 girls hostel. With canteen, gym and laundry services available inside the campus. We have night canteens as well. Process is easy and done online. Rooms are affordable costs only 150 per day with wifi services. Pratap nagar or trimurtee nagar as these area are affordable and near by vnit.

I didnt applied to any other college. I applied to VNIT NAGPUR. Nagpur has great city life, have each and every minimal and required facilities. Things are at reachable distances from our college. We have three gates to enter and exit our college campus and every required thing is available near by. Jee Mains is the required exam for getting admission. Some documents you need to bring with you for registeration after successfully alloted a seat in JOSAA AND CSAB counselling. Registration of academic and hostel allotment is done in 10 to 20 mins and we need cycle to cover the campus and you are ready to start your college journey. Saturday and Sunday are off. 5 working days from Monday to Friday. Class Timings- 8 to 1 in morning. Lunch- 2hrs 12:30 to 2:30 in noon Then labs in any from 2pm or 4pm for 2 hour duration. Admission is easy if you get atleast 80 percentile in JEE mains. Overall college is superb.

We have 17 faculty in chemical engineering. 1:20 ratio. They are approachable but they will help u when u have genuinely tried to solve the problem and wasnt able to do it. Dr. Sachin Mandavgane our last HOD, he is among 1% scientists. I like him the most as he helped me a lot when my father was detected with cancer. Sachin Sir recently won Nation builders award on 5 September 2024. He is every humble person and down to earth. Even after having so much success, he is ready to help and contact whenever needed. Ashwin Gaikwad i dont like as his teaching method and marking scheme is so bad. We have two exams each semester mid and end term held after 2 months. Mid terms are easy and end are moderate to tough. Students hardly surpass 80 marks in each subject as evaluting scheme is hard Around 10 student fail in every subject leaving few subject in which marking is easy like heat transfer, fluid mechanics. AS PER RELEVANCE I WOULD RATE 7 OF 10.
