Likes

Campus is very good...lush green campus with fresh air.
Management is very good....they treat students very well.
No ragging...thats a big thing which cannot be seen in many colleges....

Dislikes

Food is not that good....as they said during admission
No need to stay in hostel in Saturday's for extra classes...as no extra class occurs
Security is much more.... disciplines are so much that it gets irritating...

The curriculum is really good as fixed curriculum with academic calendar given to us for understanding the semester very well. so its very helpful to us. no changes in the curriculum they do due which its very good

The placement is great because till now from btech biotechnology. everyone got placement in very good places. so as a student of btech biotechnology, the placement of this stream is very good. idk for other streams

Fees and Financial Aid

So basically 166000 is for college and 172000 is for hostel (as i took double bed non-ac) per year. admission fee is 50000 which can be less by giving an exam conducted by clg during admission ait exam. where if I get 80% marks then they will deduct 50% of my 1st sem fee. only this much i can say.

Campus Life

My experience is very great after spending one year. its a very silent area with no chaos,ragging,etc. so its very satisfying for me..i am so greatful to get this type of college..with great faculties

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is great. with so much security and the faculties are very good. so due to which no ragging occurs. but yes sometimes its gets annoying to have this much security. its irritating.

Admission

I have chosen this college because this college is good for btech biotechnology in West Bengal and this college have one thing that no college in this asia has. the research of cancer stem cells.

Faculty

The faculties are very much good. They are realy very helpfull and whenever we reach them with problems they solve that as fast as they can and they are free so we can text them anytime and they give answers.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I had applied to IEM kolkata, The Neotia University and brainware university simultaneously. I chose this college due to the excellent placements. I didn't take admission to IEM kolkata as the fees were really high. Also, i didnt take admission in The Neotia University and brainware university due to their not-so-efficient placements.
