Course Curriculum Overview

3

Cource curriculum is too old and need to be updated as per requirement of the future. All labs are very old and same as the utensils and machinery in them. There is not much real world knowledge and teaching in the course all we have to learn by our own with out interest. The exams are times a year and frequency is not that much good as per the gaps between them.... almost after every 2nd month their is an exam . The syllabus coverage is also not that much good..the mostly teachers only focus on syllabus completion than giving knowledge

Internships Opportunities

3

I don't have much experience of it as I am a second year student and till now I don't have any intership experience. Their maybe some interships given by college but mostly we have to found by ourselves and every student have to do atleast one intership whichin first 3 years of the course.

Placement Experience

4

College placement are good as per records...but nowadays as because of recession it's not good since last 2-3 years and companies are not coming but hope to be back to the track by 2-3 years from now. All good companies come to our college like Google apple Amazon Microsoft and mncs . Avg package goes around 20-25 lpa and highest is 1.8cr which was in 2022 maybe. Almost 90% students get placed but this year it was 50% due to recession.

Fees and Financial Aid

First year fees - 229700 Second year fees - 234700 Third year fees -244700 Fouth year-264000 For categories their 100% tution fees waviour so they have to pay only rest of the fees Financial aids that are available are DTU fee concession in which they give 100% tution fees concession to students having financial problems and income less than 3.5lakh . Other than that their is mcm scholarship but this doesn't come every year .

Campus Life

5

Overall experience of campus life and social aspects is amazing it is very good and their are many fests taking place over year . The frequency is also very good as their is almost 1 fest in each month. Annual cultural fest which is india's biggest culture fest as well named ENGIFEST take place in Feb and other than that their are many such other fests like litrature fest , art fest, Diwali fest , tech fest , hackathons , functions and many more.

Admission

I had given JEE MAINS entrance exam in which I got 95.3 percentile due to which I was eligible for taking admission in DTU and I also wanted to take admission in DTU . I got admission through JAC councelling and I got the mechanical engineering course whose cutoffs were 70-75k and I was also eligible for electrical engineering but I had no interest in that so taken mechanical. All the information regarding JEE AND JAC will be updated in NTA AND JAC websites. No I don't got any reservation as I am a general student....but if I had a reservation than today I would had been studying computer science engeneering in place of mechanical engineering. It's an injustice for general students but we can't do anything. Improvement which I want to see is awareness regarding JAC councilling and the steps and process which are not clearly instructed and if their is any mistake in and steps or documents than one may lose his or her seat or admission. This needs to be a seen as a serious problem.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is very poor as their is only one faculty over whole class of 70-80 students and some of the faculty is also not much good they just come and take attendance and go. Some teachers are nice but not all are good . Most of them only contact with CR. The semester is full of fests functions and exams...there are 2 exams in each semester first mid sems then end sems and each semester is of about 4-5 month.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
