Course Curriculum Overview
I chose physics mainly because i had interests in this subject. After graduation from physics there's a lot of a scope. The exams are of moderate level. The teaching is good which makes it easier to crack the exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
Actually the admission fees for 1st and 2nd sem both combined is free for BPL students but since I chose computer science (which is a private department in our college) as GEC I had to pay 6000rs which is for computer science. All kinds of fees are included in the admission fees. APL students needed to pay somewhere around 6500 and more if they chose private departments. The college provides many scholarships to the toppers.
Campus Life
The general freshers event is good and is organised in a grand way. But the department freshers event is even better. Many competetions are held in the college campus providing a good exposure. The DHSK library boasts of a wide collection of books.
Admission
I applied to North Lakhimpur University for the integrated M.Sc in physics. But I chose DHSK because it is affiliated to Dibrugarh Univesity which would make it easier for me to enter the main university campus.
Faculty
As for the physics department, the faculty-to-student ratio is pretty good. The faculty to student relationship is pretty good.The faculties are easily approachable and are very helpful. There are the in-sem and end-sem exams.
