Course Curriculum Overview
i choose mechanical engineering cuz i have a interest in it so for me it was very much relevant and i dont understants coding much.... Also the placements in mechanical is very much better than any other branches i.e not too high and also not too very low and lies around 82% as the course is very much outdated so they need to update the course accornding to industry standards
Internships Opportunities
college does not provide any internship oppurtunities and if they provide it was of no use but they provide hacakthhons . for internship u have to arrange it yourself but due to college reputation u get it if u apply in the psus and have a good gpa
Placement Experience
Highest package is 17LPA offered by CISCO and average package for this year it is 6.5 LPA At the starting of the 7th sem companies start coming to colleges and take till the end of 8th sem. many companies come for hiring inf different damonain which includes JSW, ADitya BIRLA, COGNIZANT, VEDANTA etc eith 130+cpmanies
Fees and Financial Aid
for general courses the yearly tuition fees is 38000 approx. and 34000 for mess and sem wise it is different i.e for odd sem tuition feees is little bit more. for self sustaining courses the yearly tuition fees is 76000 and hostel and fees is same..... for TFW the tuition fees is 26000 for yearly and hostel and mess fees is same.... time to time the college offers scholarship for different domains in their website itself.... Also caution money of 5000 they take at the time of admission and development fees of 2000 is included in the tuition fees... also branch development fees is taken after you take admission in the college by the respective branches.....
Campus Life
cultural fest is vassaunt and technical fest is samavesh and both are held in the month of march library include vast collection of books with reading spaces available classrooms are very big with smartboard installed in the them but as it is a govt. so u cant expect much from it different technical , cultural, and sports club are there which conduct interivews and trail games and also club visting and which you can come and enjoy your leisure time.
Hostel Facilities
My hostel is a 4 seated one which includes 4 table and 4 beds and cupboards for your accessories. cleanliness is not very good but it is acceptable and meal quality is not much u expect from a hostel food fo a govt. college menu is good u get different items for different days and monthly fests
Admission
I choose this college according to my rank and it was the best college in odisha in terms of core branches. Its fees structure was also very low and it was nearer to my home town with 150km only. I aslo applied OUTR and IGIT but this was the best college according to infra and overall amon ghtem in odisha
Faculty
the faculty to student ratio is 1:10 and the faculty behaviour depends on the branch As i am from mechanical our faculty are much more experienced and overall behaviour of them was also good. time to time they help you and also provide you with the notes and pdf but their marking is also strict in the exams generally there are two exams one is mid sem and other one is end sem and some internal tests are also conducted....
