- well my experience at the college campus at the first instance was very good. I met a lot of new friends who were from my hometown as well as from kolkata
- our college campus has a very big playground which helps the students other than the studies to focus on the extra curricular activities .
- it also has a basketball court, a football court , a volleyball court , a big cricket ground , a badminton court and many more which is helpful for the students who are interested in sports.
Dislikes
- THE girls to boys ratio is very bad to be honest .Its like 50 boys to 6-7 girls in one classroom or one batch or department to be approx. so its a drawback
- the gender ratio is quite bad from my point of view the ratio should be more
- since the college is in bengal so most students are bengali and the outsiders face a problem in communicating in bengali
Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum of our department is quite outdated to be honest . Its not relevant according to the current market conditions and lookinginto the future the course curriculum should be be changed very quickly.
Placement Experience
The placement of our college is very good in comparison to the other engineering colleges if India .It provides an average package of approx 15-16 lakh per annum. It is very helpful for the students from the lower background (financially) .
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of our department is approximately 2500 (yearly) and the complete course fee is around 10,000. Our fees is the same for a very long duration (in my knowledge). In this case, it is helpful for the students who are financially not so sound and have a problem in paying the high college fees like the other engineering colleges have . Our IT department (information technology) has a yearly fees of approx 30,000. So, unlike other departments the fees of IT deparment is a bit high but while comparison to other departments of other colleges , its price is quite affordable and reasonable from the students point of view.
Campus Life
The campus life is very good. I personally am involved in the debating society and also the arts and photography society of the college it provides a very new dimension to the students aspect and life
Admission
I chose this college because according to my rank in the WBJEE exam this college was the best .and also the ranking of this college is very good. its among the top college of enegineering in India. i am very happy to be here.
Faculty
The faculty member of our department to be precise is very good though the teachers are very strict but the teaching method of them is very good . I like it very honestly , it is helpful from the students point of view. there are total 5 to 6 subjects per semester and the marking is also very accurate depending on the calibre pf the students individual .
